ALPA better worry about it's own failures, like forgiving scabs to fatten the piggy bank, screwing one pilot group in favor of others, and the list goes on

and being over here in the dirt pit more than 20 years, my experience has shown that a 25 year "career" with a dirt pit airline doesn't even come close to a career in a legacy stateside, trust me

don't be surprised if ALPA caves on 5th freedom to fatten piggy bank. Obama Administration is supportive.

How would ALPA fatten their piggy bank by caving? Is Emirates simply going to write ALPA a check for $100 million?

Obama administration supportive? Says who? Bush administration was supportive of the Dubai Ports World sale - how'd that work out?
By the way, Obama opposed the Dubai Ports World sale. In his opposition, Senator Barack Obama stated 'we're allowing our port security to be outsourced to foreign governments' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai_Ports_World_controversy

Finally, again, JFK-MXP does NOT meet traditional criteria for granting 5th freedom rights. It is not an underserved route.

sugar, Why do you never provide proof of your claims?

Meaning a career in the 'dirt pit' is better?

Life is more than money. You just waisted 25 years and you will figure that out when you get back to the mother land

25 years at any legacy is better .. Emirates is good for 4 years only

We all would like to think that, but at the end it is money that provides for stability and peace of mind for you to enjoy life. When he gets back to the motherland as you call it, he will have a good retirement, his kids education will be paid for, that is a biggie, they will start their professional lives without debt and he would have had a very fulfilling career flying all over the world. What would you figure he would have waisted? The last years since 9/11 have been pretty bad in the industry here in the US, time would have been waisted by spending his furlough in a regional, don't you think?

Obama also promised to reduce the deficit in half...anyway

Only thing that will settle this argument is time. It is very likely an announcement will be made this year. Been to Milan lately andy?, have you seen all the money the EK has invested there? Just saying...
