There is the rub Red. Why do you still have 2 seperate contracts? Say WHAT???? HUH????? WHY? SWAPA should have stopped that. A JOINT contract should have been done. Without one, it's hard to feel "the luv." Let's look at RECENT mergers. Which ones have been considered "successful", and which ones have been considered "a train wreck?" You guys had the chance to look at both before your own transaction. Which road did you take? HMMMMMMM. The WRONG ONE. But, overall your group did better, which is why there is a problem. Higher pay always takes the STING away from SLI bad feelings. You did that, but one guy at a time going to Corndog Highschool.

What is funny to many of us is that you thought the feeling "Hey, I'm now a Corndog. That's enough for me to feel AWESOME. I'll wait for the pay later" was going to work...... Red, money talks.

Bye Bye---General Lee

In the end General, what's your point. IT'S OVER!

Your Deadhorse Lubbock and SLI discussion is pretty stale. It's going to be interesting to see how many years you try to continue this schtick. I'm sorry you didn't get your USair type bloodbath at your hated Southwest. You can't stand to see the machine continue to make profits when your beloved Ma Delta got sent through the Bankruptcy ringer. As Canyonblue said earlier, your hated for anything and everything SW related really skyrocketed after 9/11. You do know we didn't furlough anyone and actually continued the class that started on 9/12 right? Delta? No so much.

Good luck with Richard thinking outside the box. It's going to be interesting how the refinery and VA think turn out. I seriously have doubts either one will be good for the line pilots at DL.

Thanks again for bringing up the SAME stale arguements day in and day out.

They are still 2 separate companies. You know that right?

Really? Every merged employee I've encountered loves it here. Can't say that for the almighty Delta!

In case you forgot, the AT guys were offered SW pay by SW (not SWApA, who had little say in the matter) on DAY ONE, and passed on it.

Delta thought the same way...... And they didn't even offer the Pan Am guys parity from day one for them to turn down!

There's plenty of mid 2004 hires that have transitioned over. I'm one of them and I was ATL based. I was also a captain my last 4 years at the Tran. Pay wise I break even at around 95 TFP.

Thanks for saying that. I knew I wasn't imagining it.

With the exception of Jan and Feb, (it varies somewhat), most of our 13 day lines pay 95+ out of the box. Some months, much more.

In Jan '13, the lines went below guarantee, but they add the pay back into your line to make up for it.

I know you actually believe the bullshat you write, but what the AT pilots were passing on was the lopsided, unfair and unrealistic seniority grab that SC and the rest of his merry men trotted out. The money was welcomed, the proposed ISL was not. Why do you persist in posting this nonsense? It's over, yet you continue to post this drivel

The troll and I were discussing PAY PARITY when I posted that. Nothing else related to the SLI.

Your MEC didn't say no to the first offer, which included full parity?

FWIW, I think and have always thought that you guys not getting our pay from day one was a mistake. It's not good for either group to have what amounts to a B scale, even for a few years.

Hi TRI, we had a JOINT CONTRACT quicker (same pay for same planes), then an SLI, and then FAA approval for single certificate in RECORD TIME. YOU ARE TOO SLOW FOR THAT? HUH? You taxi at 30 kts, but take years to get a single certificate? Very nice. Btw, who is taking the bag fees at AT? Is AT using all of the bag fee money? Who gets that? RIIIIIIGHT.

Where was SWAPA about the pay parity? Were they all doing the 1 2 3 rule at a bar near Hobby? Ridiculous... And do you ALWAYS take the first offer for everything? Well, I guess some people better......they LEARNED something important. I bet SWAPA will take GK's first offer too when he maybe wants cuts coming up here too....
