Wow, I have never turned down a jumpseater, I will do anything in my power to accommodate even if it means making up excuses with the company and going to the pad and burning fuel or getting ballast. Being a hard on about the jumpeast is just bad carma and shows that you have a major inferiority complex.
From my experience back when I was a regional the Internet tough guys don't actually follow through when a guy shows up wanting the jump seat, they turned out to be all bark and no bite.

Whoa whoa whoa....a GoJet thread and WHERE WAS I??!!

Anything to get the Golden Ticket. (1k turbine PIC). Once you have the Golden Ticket, better get some refreshments handy when FedEx, UPS, and Delta come knocking on your door. Seriously, they'll probably be at your house the next day or something, yo

I understand that the doors of heaven don't just come open when you get 1,000 PIC. I have realistic expectations and knowledge of the industry. I do have sweet hookups though....

So your "sweet hookups" will walk your resume in and it will join the stack of everyone else who has those so called sweet hookups.

My question would be, if the flood gates do not open up is Go Jet somewhere you would want to stay for a while until your resume in the "hook up" pile was finally reviewed?

Can anyone answer why i see a lot of Go Jet "so called professional pilots" in DEN walking around with wrinkled, half untucked shirts and about 100 pounds overweight and eating a massive Heidi`s sandwich? Have some self respect people!!

Go to GoJets! It won't affect you in the least. As far as most people are concerned in the hiring departments all the regionals are the same. They all underbid each other trying to steal each others work.
If GoJets had crossed a picket line and were scabs then there would be some issues.
We have a GoJets pilot in my department, came in with 1100 hours PIC turbine, started him off at 175K a year and sent him out for his 60K Global Express type rating, now 3 years later he is making 210K a year flying about 70 days a year, and all because he had his 1000 PIC turbine.

Thanks Tony Little.

Dude, go ask a major airline pilot what the beef is between GoJet and Transtate and you will get a blank look. Nobody a a major GAF about what happen betwen these two. Get your time and get out to te first major that will hire you.

I feel like the last five years of my life was wasted.

For the most part nobody cares where you came from..... If you come from an international carrier flying heavies you may perk the interest of the guy sitting next to you... If you came from a place like Comair you may get a few questions about their demise.. But in reality, nobody gives a crap what regional you came from... Flying Evansville to IAD isn't exactly that difficult
