UAL MEC voted 12-3.

... with a gun to their heads. pierce has been threatening a lorenzoII breakup of L-UAL just like what happened to Eastern for quite a while.

This TA is likely to be voted in. At that point, my furlough longevity credit will hinge on where I'm integrated into the combined list.

Andy no one at LCAL I have talked to thinks this is a good deal, my friends are all planning a solid no vote. This is a time for us all to vote no not LCAL or LUAL all of us a resounding no vote. Good luck, this contract is a turd and it has nothing to do with SLI.

A gun to their head? GMAFB! Your representatives voted CONVINCINGLY in favor of this awful TA and you wanna blame Jay Pierce? Heppner was bloviating a month ago about how good this was going to be. Your UAL "brothers" sold you out. Plain and simple. If the CAL reps puts something in the agreement to help 147 guys out and your reps did nothing, then your Reps left you in the breeze to fend for yourself. Man up and blame the appropriate party.

You UAL dudes are wild conspiracy theorists. Full of blame and victimhood. Call your reps out, vote no or STFU and take your lumps.

I'm personally voting yes so that we LCAL pilots can "steal" more upgrades before the SLI.....I'm sure you're buying into that LUAL=EAL conspiracy also.

Don't forget the parking of the 737s to make the merger happen.....

Years pass and I keep silent, trolling through the colorful and entertaining views on this board. But this TA has put me over the edge.
This is what we've waited for?!? Always expecting something better because we gave back so much in the past?!? It's such a slap in our faces, not only from Mgt but also from our very own MECs. As for the pay alone... Even my Delta buddies have got to be in disbelief that our "industry-leading contract" actually takes the entire passenger industry a year backwards. And I say "passenger industry" because we're all still well behind UPS and FedEx.
Besides pay, the scope sucks. Reserve pay sucks. The attempt at retro sucks. So much of this TA is just plain crap! We've got to stick together and send a unified NO vote. This isn't Cal vs Ual. This is PILOTS working together against Mgt!
NONONONONONONO...

I don't think it is the legacy airline you came from that will make the difference of how one votes, it's the years left that will. It will be all those who will take the $$ and run v. all of us that will be left holding the f-ing bag.

AMEN BROTHER! It's NO for me!

And where's ALPA National? I think they would be terrified if this passed. The ramifications could be United ALPA=done, weakening National, just in time to fall apart as the airlines justify Cabotage due to the pilot shortage.
Maybe that's more what mgmnt wants than anything.
All riding on a pilot group notorious for members who have no qualms about ruining other pilot lives to better their own, and are about to retire. Is it coincidence it is this group that this all hinges on?
I'll take off my tinfoil hat now. For anyone who has over 5 years left at United I can't imagine this contract being even close to a yes vote.
