I was 25 in the pool originally and am in the Oct 17th class. I was told that there would be 20 people specifically from the interviewing on the 14th last year.

According to what someone posted on another forum, they were #35 in the pool and got the call for the Oct 17th class.

Isn't this still a free country?

I understand your point, but people shouldn't be excluded from employment based on the way they *might* vote. Airlines get the unions they deserve. If life is bad enough, people will vote in a union without strong arms.

I think the point is that the last thing we need here are a bunch of new starry-eyed pilots who will side with the company by default 'cause they get to fly big jets and it's a better job than the regional they came from. This "better job" is rapidly deteriorating but you need time on station to recognize it. Feel free to apply but please don't get in the way of long term efforts to make this place worth having as a career.
