Why don't you and your fellow west idiot st nic go get some feces and send it to each other. That is what westicles do best. Mailing feces. Enjoy Phx. East pilots want nothing to do with the scum out west. I am fine with separate ops.
No windfall for the pft generation.

You really are a sad little man. A sad, angry little man.

Someone passed this along to me. Found it interesting in light of the mudslinging going on here.

Dude, I do not work for USAir.

Settle down
I guess u bit the bait.

Marty

This one too

I do not work for USair. Just wanted to point out that USair was not the only one in distress. I thought they were both toast.

Marty

I don't believe you are a US Airways pilot MCDU, just someone who likes to troll and throw feces yourself!

as an outsider, why did America West even aquire US Air? Cactus had a good identity on its own I thought. Was it not obvious to all the MBA's that US Airways (the company, nothing against the Pilots, but...) was like signing up to get infected with a new flu bug? "This will make us stronger" etc

WTF

Because SWA was circling to buy up all of US gates and equipment and Parker didn't want that to happen. US was less than 7 days from liquidation. Sad for everyone! Good Luck to all involved.

In September 2005, America West finalized its purchase of US Airways, which was in bankruptcy.
"US Airways was on the verge of liquidation," Parker said, adding that if America West didn't pick up the pieces, one of its competitors would. "And that would have made our problem even larger."

"Without a merger, US Airways would liquidate and there would be no jobs." Doug Parker, 2005

Out of curiosity, for how much did AWA buy USAir for?
