Andy chose to bow out. He would certainly have gotten the "third list" vote, and some of the PHX vote. Not sure how many "East" votes, and I think he thought the numerical chances were short.
Andy is a very articulate person, and is being encouraged to participate in USAPA as a committee member / chair.
What we do need from the nominees in USAPA is PROVEN leadership. Someone that has demonstrated that ability to lead and show tangible POSITIVE results of that past leadership. These same people need to know how to work SMARTER, not HARDER when it comes to dealing with company management.
If you don't have the right to vote, PLEASE put your affairs in order so that you may do so! There is only one true opponent, and that is the one with the purse strings: The AFA now has a TA to vote on and we are no where near a concluded negotiation. How long do you want to wait for a new contract, better working conditions, and more money?
