Wow, funny how this thread turned. The last couple posts are exactly the same excuses the frequent fliers use.
I hate it when a business traveler acts like a jerk to you when you are in uniform and are non-reving in the back. Mostly because he/she knows you can't defend yourself.
Look 'em right in the eye, put your earplugs in and close your eyes, message is unmistakeable, and is also quite satisfying. It's not that you can't defend yourself...it's that your company won't back you up.
Luckily,Threads like this make me so glad to be flying abroad, gezz
Luckily,
No one "abroad" has ever gotten on the plane reeking of curry, garlic, fresh cigarette smoke and 2 week old azz stench.......
PBR
As oppose to the great smell good'ol passengers here in the US climb on board with??? at least abroad their azz remains within the space of their seats
Two words- Corporate Aviation...
Excuse me? of my 30+ years in this paid hobby of ours, over half of it was in corporate aviation, some of the rudest people I have ever encountered were during those years, so much in fact that I came to the conclusion that never again!
Rmmrnr-
Reagan would be ridiculed and kicked out of today's Murdoch/corporate owned GOP if he were around today.
You have credibility issues, but thanks for the political thread drift.
Right. Well, I'm home. Paying taxes here. Working to make it better. Where are you? Keep your irrational politics off the majors section- you'll find a whole bunch of right wing extremists willing to jerk you off in non av chat.
Ive had stints in corporate av. At least half the time it's for pleasure- no one's confused by that. A good and necessary business tool- sometimes. The problem is when millionaire's use the tax loophole designed to give a break for the plane's business use and now extend it to their vacation in Tahiti. Closing loophole's isn't anti-business, it's pro-middle class.
Isn't it funny how the Anti-socialist, pure Capitalist crowd gets their panties in a wad when someone says the taxpayers shouldn't be subsidizing their business? All the subsidized corporate jets in Aspen are there for legitimate, productive, business purposes, eh?You're productive and doing work- and I'll buy a full price drink for you any day.
What we were drifting about is your take that Obama is going after corporate aviation, when hes really just closing a loophole that was never intended.
Business jets ought to get a tax break when furthering the reach and productivity of businesses. That's good policy. Not so much for trips to Tahiti.
IAll the subsidized corporate jets in Aspen are there for legitimate, productive, business purposes, eh?
You do realize that 99% of those biz jet in ASE aren't depreciating their jet or deducting the cost of the trip, don't you? Please tell me you actually know this and aren't simply relaying the liberal dems feel good talking points. We want to hear your expertise. Please.
Just curious, were do you get the 99% figure?
