I think SWAPA has a pretty good handle on all the varioius ways this could turn out. They have been prepping and saving for this scenerio for many years. Literally spending several million dollars to do the hard research and secure the best attornies in the business.

I think they are pretty grounded in what is ahead.

Last time I checked, we all get ONE vote. Like it or not, when this proposal from SWA management gets endorsed by the respective unions and goes out for a vote, it's likely to pass. The negotiated agreement from the pilot ranks will set the tone for the remainder of the work groups and their integrations. Arbitration is becoming less and less likely.

This is a true statement because Swa management has clearly stated this very thing. This sli is the template moving forward.

If it's not completed at this stage, however, I fully expect Swa management to move on.

Unfortunately we simply do not know enough to comment further. We know there was a proposal, but that is all we know. Will there be something to vote on? maybe or maybe not

I don't know why you're talking about financial benefits. We aren't merging pay checks, we're merging seniority. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Then you do not understand the entire aspect of fair and equitable. I'm not being critical, but that much is obvious. Hopefully the groups at large do.

The AirTran MEC did not endorse the proposal. The Merger Committees are back at the bargaining table today.

Of course they didn't. I wouldn't expect them to. The risk/reward will lead them to drive this straight to arbitration. The simple fact is that no matter how this turns out the AAI pilots will win over the long term. Everything between today and the arbitration hearings is a watse of time. Arbitration is a free lottery ticket for them. I expect the AAI proposals to consist of :

1. AAI pilots get the top 1700 spots
2. Relative seniority no fences at SWA bases and 35 year one way fence around ATL where and SWA pilot bidding into ATL would be stapled in that base.
3. A note to the SWA NC saying "blow me"

Weren't you saying that the offer from GK would be a one time deal? That he doesn't negotiate? in life, everything's a negotiation.
