Just announced a 4-way process agreement. Goal of 12/2011 for completion of SLI.

Correction...SLI arbitration to be completed (if it comes to that) by 12/2011. SLI date to be announced by that time. Actual SLI date based on many factors. Pretty complicated agreement. Will have to review to fully understand it. 9 pages worth.

Why the rush?

Don't know, but all four parties signed it, including SWAPA and SWA management so obviously they want it done quickly. My guess would be to maximize the cost savings of combined operations, but that's just a guess.

The process agreement itself leaves no loopholes and Par 6.A sums it up pretty nicely for Bob Dylan and others who were trash talking some type of Guadalupe whipsaw. Ain't gonna happen.

Hope the merger committees can continue to find middle ground as we move into the SLI phase. :)

Why the rush?

I thought ALPA was holding it up?

Apparently, your Mgmt wanted it faster. I'd heard this a while ago and thought it would be interesting to see just how much pull SWAPA has when their Mgmt has different ideas. Obviously WN Mgmt is in the drivers seat here and we're all along for the ride. The outcome remains to be seen.

You're probably right......
