I've seen similiar. The difference between Sept. 26th and 27th for AAI guys was huge. Before it was 'someone save us', now it's 'I should get the SW contract and realitive seniority.'

Quite a diverenge in paths. Just sayin'

Just like on the SWA side, it was "no upgrades for 5 years, thanks to Age 65 and no growth" now it's "we're hiring 400 this year and getting new airplanes".

SWA has added about 10 cities for no pilot growth since 08. If the old business model was maintained, swa would have hired an additional 1500 pilots.

Hey Ty,

How does the 'net zero' airframes spoken many, many times from Gary fit into you post?

Net zero means zero. And we really haven't had any upgrades, just downgrades getting their seats back. Just a higher utilitzation, nothing more.

And I haven't seen or heard one SW pilot brag about zero growth.

So, uh, who's going to fly with those 400 newhire FO's ? Are they flying solo, or are ya gonna pair 'em up like Riddle Rats?

Those 400 are going to be used to fill the higher sick call rate, higher vacation pull for new 3 and 5 year FO's (another week each) mil pull, and mostly new Airtran SWA training pull, they won't be flying alone silly.

What's going on with the process agreement? I think everyone on this board should take a deep breath as we'll have plenty of time (like more than two years from now) to stir the pot and call each other names.

The Process Agreement has been completed. AirTran MEC signed it last night. Film at eleven.
