I'm calling BS on Tankerclown.

Buddy of mine is a 25 year Captain and he was told even his son would not get special consideration.

Best of luck to all of you who apply.

Gup

Gup I hope your right, but think your wrong. What would you expect him to say?

Also, even though TC does put out flame bait, he does usually have accurate info.

The only reason why I say consideration was bc he had a DUI and it was never brought up. Which suprised me since all the pilots on the street with great records. And believe me this guy is nothing special.
GL to you.

If he lied at any point during the application process it's grounds for termination, and he's probably on borrowed time if there's people out there who know about it. If it was on his app, then I guarantee it was "brought up", and gone over, and over, and over again. It's due diligence, and Southwest is required to complete it. All that being said, a DUI is not necessarily a disqualifier. (Sure doesn't help though).

BTW, we were all informed that that SW would be strictly adhering to federal law, which strictly prohibits giving preference to anyone in the selection process. We were all told to kindly keep our recommendations to ourselves until that person had been awarded an interview. Sorry Tanker.

He is a Southwest pilot that obviously has a lot of free time at the crash pad.

3rd emails? what about a 2nd? no one mentioned a second! Something doesn't add up! Can someone elaborate? My inside contacts via PHX have said window will go through till the 23rd and then everyone will be rated and scored, the higher the score a second notification will be sent out an so on, any confirmation?

I also have not gotten the link to the other site. I have a 737 type. I submitted at 11:18 am central, yesterday.

This is exciting!, like watching the beginning of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (the old one, not the lame new one).

With the massive amount of apps in the first day alone, I wouldn't be surprised of all the interviews for the 100 spots go to those with a type rating. Hope I'm wrong.

I have a type and current with 1000 + pic in 737, and no confirmation. I can't see how this can happen when there is no specific area to break down your flight experience.

If you uploaded a resume, they know if an applicant has a 737 type or not. Who knows though....it might be random.
