I think the poolies should be the first in line for a new interview, but I do not think it should be an automatic class date.

Really? You sound like a Delta sellout. I think you should have to interview before you can go to the 777...

USAIr's first class after the merger was all AWA poolies who swam almost 3 years in the pool. And more than a year after they were informed the pool w's flushed. USAIr pilots east and west went to bat for them after a new head of recruitment made it very clear she would be in charge and would have a new process. HER process. For a "NEW" company.

Pilots advocated- then chiefs- and the recruiter found out where her position was on the totem pole. This is one thing that USAir got right- and is a very good precedent.

Good luck to all poolies and all applying.
Don't sell out once you get on property. The culture of selling out runs deep, but is changing for the better- so I've heard- yet to be proven.

Really? You sound like some southwest chicken ********************!
I think you should have to pay for your job before you get it.....Oh yeah, you did!

It's all becoming quite crystal clear now from mr. pay for training pilot. A us air furloughee who couldn't make it after he lost his job, and had to buy a job to keep working in the aviation industry! Got it!;)

Well that, and sending you packing!

Says the ****************************** bag working for a pay for training company who endorsed age 65!

FWIW, don't count on ANYTHING ANYONE says about the number of by-pass pilots who MIGHT return.

Pilots are #1 for saying one thing, and doing something else completely different when the moment of truth comes. If they say they expect 50 of the by-passees to return, plan on that number being 300.

It was the same as the PERPS and any other voluntary program.

Not me ******************************bag but I would have been furloughed from an alpa carrier had I not jumped ship-
just tired of ALPA saying it's so important to be unified and then working against each other- there is no support for each other as alpa carriers- you're all pissing on each other trying to make sure everyone knows that you are better than the other- it's one thing to compete with Swapa or APA- but nwa poolies were hired by an alpa carrier that you merged with. Why would anyone argue against this?

You guys are amazing-

Don't worry about me and what I'm doing scope- why don't you try and do the right thing just once- we all know you're dying to replace your -90's w/ C1000's and outsource them for a nickel added to your pension-

Can't do one right thing if there's no benefit for you....

Some of these poolies were turned down by Delta and then ran over to NWA to get hired, expecting the merger. If Delta didn't want them then, why would they want them now? The guys that didn't do that should maybe be considered for some type of preferential interview but not the other guys. There was a reason they didn't get hired!

There's a pattern here. Looks like wavedooshbag was one of those you spoke of. He didn't make the cut at DAL and resorted to buying his job!
Too bad he can't take some of that money and tough guy attitude and buy himself a clue and some balls to back it up with!;)

Proved my point. Very arrogant. I have no idea what the process is at NWA- but to characterize being hired at northwest or ANY major as a formality is just ignorant. It's an accomplishment - no matter what.

Regardless of what the flamer says- I have no dog in this fight. It's very simple- poolies can't speak loudly on this issue. I can and feel like it's right. Remember, there are thousands of delta pilots who were hired through NWA's process. The only difference between them and poolies is that they were lucky enough to have started class.

Life isn't fair- but we can stick up for each other and voice our desire to make it fair.

You guys don't even try- and you're a shining example of why alpa pilots suck.

And theres DL peeps worried about the CPZ flow throughs??? Hypocrisy....The first 160ish folks were interviewed by an NWA panel.

How would you know? You had to pay to play!

For someone who doesn't have a dog in this fight, you sure keep spouting your dut drainer quite loud. Usually the guy with the loudest mouth is the shortest guy.

I laugh at the arrogance coming from some fng doosh bag who had to buy his job to get on, then supported age 65 causing 5 years of stagnation in his very own airline, and then, telling others why alpa pilots suck! The hypocrisy is unbelievable!
Tell you what kid, I won't tell you how to make the fries, you don't tell us how to take care of poolies!
You might be feeling nervous with the cutbacks coming in your general direction junior. Don't worry, I hear Delta is hiring! Keep that resume updated, you won't even have to buy your job!
