You guys are certainly due for that light at the end of the tunnel. Way to hang in there!!

In the middle of another peak season and nothing has changed. Management and the Union Consultant is still playing the pilot group.

^^^ No rather, I think this union BS and all the threats made here by the folks on this board are not as big of an issue as these guys like to think. You guys talk big threats - strike, ground airplanes, call in "sick" or "fatigued", all to slow the operation. But the show still goes on.
This is silly anymore...

It's all just tough talk. Most of the MIGS are unemployed. That's why they have so much time to dream up this crap. Among the employed pilots at Options, MIGS are a minority and loosing ground.

The negotiations have been a bungled mess. Wrong people. Wrong consultants. Wrong time.

All of the big talk about scabs ASSUMES that MIGS are the majority of the remaining employed pilots.

No, actually it doesn't. If it comes down to a strike, and you choose to cross the picket line, then you're a scab. Period. It doesn't matter if you're a MIG or not, or even if you support the union at all. If you cross the line, then you're a scab. The strike authorization has already happened, we just need to be released by the NMB and wait for the 30 day cooling off period to expire for it to happen. We can't control when we're released, but this can't go on forever. What will go on forever is the list of those who cross... they might as well get the word "SCAB" tattooed on their forehead.

Maybe you and Skanza will get lucky and management will settle this before it comes to a strike.

What you really mean is that you are surprised that this pilot group has acted as professionals and showed some restraint as we were asked to do be the union leaders? You just wish we would all act like Fedmagnet and get ourselves fired so we could then get all pissy about the union and its leaders.

As frustrating as it is sometimes, I think I would rather go through this process the way the RLA intended and come out with a contract and the union still intact.

Wrong Again Homer.

It means that the Majority of Employed Pilots want 1108 GONE. The vote will come and it will confirm this. That means No Strike, No SCABS, Yes CONTRACT.

Very similar to the evolution at NJ. We will have an in-house and a contract.

I'll recognize you in the FBO by that Homer look on your face.

Released to strike during the off season at Flight Options?? Boy that will show them. Is that a oxy-moron? You have Ricci on the run now.
Management and the consultant has steered the pilots right where they want them through you. Ricci has sold and bought the company as if you dont even exist, proof the company has full control of the Union.

Yeah, That's some strategy. They will wait until the country is in deep recession with 11% unemployment nationally and 20% industry wide. Then they will really have management by the curlies when they pull surprise after peak season strike. Brilliant! Brilliant! Just like the Germans in Bastogne.

How many millions $$ ? How many years? What a Mess.

WOW! just WOW. And your in house Union can do better how?

Apparently neither of you get it. There are more options than just striking. While a strike would be more effective during Christmas/New Years travel, It would still cause turmoil within the company, regardless of when it occurred. But, not to worry, there are still plenty of peak travel days left. A strike would also make anyone who flew the struck work a scab. Even people who don't support the union, or who aren't presently employed at Flops will have to think long and hard before they get stamped with that label for the rest of their career. Even Fedmagnet wouldn't be foolish enough to cross and Second Segement will be too busy trying to get everyone to vote him president of his new in-house, but at least they know that they can count on Skanza!... maybe B19 will even come lend a hand!

Dude. How could it be more screwed up than it is?

Seriously.

Without the in house.. Your choices are walk the plank or walk the plank.

Take away the spin from either side.

Look at where we are at, and, look at where we are going.

This is a no brainer.

Homer. Try not to be a DUMBASS.

Maybe you could just chime in when you have something intelligent to say. We've heard all the rhetoric over and over again. It's a dead end.

Here's a cookie. Go Away!
