1. Two recent Rep recalls.
2. Minimal communication regarding the TA.
3. No Executive Summary, even though voting has started.
4. Still negotiating LOA's even though there's a TA. (Why?)
5. No published payscales associated with TA.
6. Voted to approve a TA that appears inadequate by the pilots.
7. Already admitted that the Reserve section is bad, after above.
8. Hasn't finalized the Bonus method after 5 yrs. (after voting has opened)
9. Favoring a W-2 method for the bonus that is not supported.
10. Skipping picketing events to pickup extra flying/credit.
11. Still no hard copy of the TA available. (after voting has opened)
12. Paying a terminated pilot over 150,000 dollars from union
dues and folding on the greivance. (Hostage?, really..)
13. Roadshows that aren't well orchestrated. (after 5yrs)

These are the items I'm hearing from the line pilots.

Things seem to be a little off base.

Probably some serious "back room" dealing. Something similar probably happens at a lot of other places in order to get the MEC to choke down something awful.

I can think of other places where just about everyone on the MEC wound up getting posh upper mgmt. positions not long after a contract was signed.

These guys had been getting bought off of trips for 5 years and they can't come up with a simple executive summary or formula for the bonus distribution? Truly pathetic. There will be a lot to answer for in the next election cycle.

It sounds like they don't want you guys to be in the know. I'd be pretty leary

Vote NO. You will get to hear about it then. It sounds like your MEC is trying to send you a coded message. Vote NO

They must be taking lessons from the Mesa MEC

I am really hoping this is true. On the other hand, I have been concerned that they are so quiet because they are hearing the outrage from the pilot group and are trying to figure out how make us take the poison. Also, they are tight lipped about the signing bonus formula, possibly because they have chosen the LEAST DESIRED FORMULA by the pilot group for there own benefit.

A poll showed that the pilots were aproximately 90% against the formula they want to use, yet they may want to use it anyway for all or half of the bonus..... WTF!

Well, you guys could always vote yes..and then find out just how much your senior guys are shoving it up the old fudge shoot!!

Are the Pinnacle pilots asking their CNC and MEC those tough questions at the roadshows? If they aren't telling you what you want to hear then vote NO. Pretty simple.

I think your right. I believe the MEC wants the pilot group to vote this turd down. They wanted the pilot group to see this piece of crap that is VERY similiar to "The Best, Final Offer" of 4yrs ago. Remember? We didn't get to see that one.

I would say if you own PNCL stock to sell before the 24th.

Given that when the reps in DTW were elected less than 20 people voted I don't think anyone has any thing to answer for. Union members need to be a part of THEIR union all the time not just when there is a TA on the table.

As for the delays, we don't get extra staff members just because a TA is on the table. All of the daily business has to be attended to as well.

Perhaps they should. This is a professional association, right? A union should know its workload limits and plan accordingly.

The MEC communications has been lousy for two years. Never told what business is conducted or how anyone voted. Terrible.

DTW reps are idiots. DTW CA rep plays no show on any important meeting. Couldn't bring himself to show up for a council meeting couple weeks ago. Always mouthing off but never produced a thing. Same for his FO rep, Minnie Me. ME: "What do you need in a contract to vote 'Yes'? Minnie Me: blank stare. You gotta be kidding me!

MEM FO rep, who is also on the NC, takes a pass and votes to take a "neutral" position on an MEC recommendation to the pilots. You gotta be kinding me.

$150,000 to former Chief Pilot who was in the job for one month who was fired supposedly because of his work for the union. Work for the union? YGBKM!

Who can you thank for this sad state of affairs? Who was on the NC for a year? Who has been MEC Chairman for over two years? Who has been negotiating TAs during a contract vote? Who stands in the corner and doesn't support his NC Chairman during the roadshows? Who came up with the $150K stipend for Dondk?

With the MEC taking a neutral position and the Chairman actively working to tank the deal, the NMB will look at us like we are a bunch of children. No help from them. We are screwed.

"Given that when the reps in DTW were elected less than 20 people voted I don't think anyone has any thing to answer for."

The ironic thing is that these reps are the ones that did cast a "no" vote on the lack luster TA.

The only thing better than a neutral position the MEC could have done is vote it down so it would not even have the risk of passing a pilot group vote. As for the opinion of the NMB, not our concern. Our concern is to set a standard of pay and work rules as a pilot group we are willing to work for and keep sending it back until it is right. "We are ALPA":)

Maybe so, but you didn't hear it from the MEC communications.

The DTW CA Rep wouldn't know how to make a deal if he was given a road map from AAA, a GPS from the Defense Department and two professional drivers. He gives bad advice during representations and only yaks about bovine fecal matter. The only thing I figure is he wants to earn an ALPA battle star, just to say that he did.

The PCL guys are getting ready to see the result of apathy when it comes to electing reps. You can be mad and hate mgmt but at the end you got to make a deal. These guys don't have the talent, and they are unwilling to lead. Mostly, they are hunkering down in their bunkers with a wet finger checking the wind. Stand up and lead.
