After further review, and seeing the company not move on potentially saving 12 jobs through the EO program, I have decided to change my vote to "NO". I will hit the street on October 1st knowing I wasn't used as a pawn by this heartless management. I would rather be furloughed now than played the fool later.

12 EOs and no deal! I know 25 was the min they were looking for, but coooooooooomone! Do ya'll still think that this company is serious about furlough mitigation? There are Easter eggs filled with turd in this deal. I can smell it. Yes, we do have alot of selfish, VSAing, spinelss, backstabbing old and young pu$$ies at AS; but this MOU does not come down to that. It comes down to the company trying to pull a fast one. Open your eyes and see the BIG picture!

It is the companies job to try and get us to do more work for less $$ and worse work rules. It's our job to try to get more $$ for doing nothing and sitting at home. This MOU is about the lives of 30 families. The LEC/MEC had virtually NOTHING to do with making this MOU. The Co threw it out at the last minute and said take it or leave it. SEA LEC didn't even want their pilots to read this trash but LAX & ANC though it should be up to the pilots to see for themselves and vote on it. What will stop the Co from trying to get more if they furlough another group - nothing. But if they try to furlough more this MOU will be terminated and the MEC will go back to the drawing board. Did any of you take the time to do the phone in? I did and I voiced my opinion. There were comments all over the place. But the bottom line is this is the ONLY chance to CURRENTLY SAVE 30 FAMILIES!

Baja.

I am curious. We are not in negotiation for a contract. What would the company do if everyone bid down to 75-80 hours? Why has the MEC not endorsed this?

The MEC did try to just reduce the bid block hours. The Co refused and attached all the losses in pay & 2nd step. The MEC DID NOT negotiate this MOU - it was handed to us by the Co and now it's up to the pilots to decide if we are willing to accept these changes to save 30 faimlies.

Vote no. I trust the company just a little less than the MEC right now. If the company really wants furlough mitigation, let's talk about it, not get a half-ass'd program handed to us.

The sad thing is that there is nothing to prevent the pilots from doing everything this LOA says. We can save our own jobs. All this LOA will do is limit pilots to 80 hrs of credit. We can do that ourselves. Something tells me we will not do that......

Well, according to many pilots senior to me, being furloughed is a normal part of being an airline pilot. I and my family should sacrifice one for the team. Why should feeding my family get in the way of a senior pilot doing VSA for premium time. Us bottom dwellers should suck it up.
