Associated press

Hey Frac boys,

No kidding, the article was in the Associated press. I am surprised that this is not front page news if you are still flying in the fractionals. Disgraceful! We as taxpayers should be financing some guy that bought into a private fractional jet and now that it is underwater he needs to be bailed out. God forbid some millionaire should lose money! If I show 2 most recent pay stubs I wonder if they will let me buy a quarter share of a GV. I mean they will bail me out if I cant make the payments right?

Twad,

If you are referring to Dooker's Thread, "Obama throws $20 billion lifeline to private jet owners", that was a joke. He writes them well and almost makes them believable, but a joke none the less. If you need help getting that fish hook out of your lip, let me know.

The other GIV was fractionalized, and those owners have now either become Legacy owners or (more likely) become owners at NetJets.

FlOps had 1 GIV owner move into the Legacy, who has since left. All of the GIV owners were in that airplane because they wanted a GIV, and they were expecting the fleet would grow sufficiently to service their needs. Obviously, that never happened. So, yes. Most moved to NJI (one owner bought a F900).

The Pinkas airplane was the first to leave. Kenn has the other one (which, although an earlier serial #, is the more desireable of the two).

You "the taxpayers" are not bailing out anybody in the fractional world my friend, I promise you. Check your data again, maybe do some research, I have no idea where you got that from.

Wahington and the media bash all forms of corporate flying every chance they get... The governemnt would flush that money down the toilet before they "bail out" a fractional owner.

Due to all the bad rep. Raytheon and Cessna decided to run adds in defense of business aviation. You can find those adds on the Wall Street Journal, NYTimes and USAToday. That's not the behavior of an industry about to get bail out money.

Relax, your money is not coming this way

Then I stand corrected. Thanks.

The "Go Forward Plan" seems to be running backwards. Word from Embraer is they are not counting on any new deliveries in next couple of years to Flops. New orders of Legacys were cancelled. Count of remaining Legacy fleet down to 4. All planes remaining in fleet are for sale. Sales of shares are scarce.
If you are in the market for a poorly managed, poorly maintained fractional, Flops could be had for a bargain.

Flops pilots are still subsidizing the the travel needs of the wealthy remaining customers.

All six flew today using the "Options" call sign, according to Fltplan.com AFAIK, the legacy fleet is still at 6, although 1 (N905LX) is owned entirely by one individual, and is for sale... but then it has been for about a year. Are you also saying that the Phenom isn't going to happen? What is your source for this "info" ?

I'm sure Kenn is hoping that you're right.

Wow - that's a pretty negative assessment. You would think FO would be working very hard to maintain existing customers since newer customers are few and far between nowadays. You can't afford to lose the renewals.

Your Embraer statement does seem a bit general in nature - does that include the Phenom 300s or just the Legacies?????

It is easy to toss out all kinds of ill-informed negative speculation these days. And while I'm not so naive as to believe all is milk and honey at FlOps (far from it), what you've done is give us your opinion and not so subtley expressed your hope for failure at FlOps - much more so than to have offered any real facts.

It's really time for you to let go of your bitterness and move on...

Dwayne, It is time for you to just let go of the past, have some dignity and move on. Your bitterness serves no one

You are right, you would think they would but they seem to be determined to run off anyone that comes by.
Beechjets are being parked and scavenged, missing engines, avionics and brakes??
Every plane in the fleet is for sale if you call the right people. Make the call.
All orders for Legacies were cancelled, some existing legacies in fleet have been sold. As far as the big Phenom 300 orders, ask any Embraer sales rep what they think.

Don't take my word for it, check it out.

You are a bunch oh idiots.
If you actuelly work for Flops as I do, you would not not know anything because we do not know anything about our future.
Oh yeah I heard someone told me that he saw the brand new moke up of a new designed Embraer in Ken's office! so are we going to buy 700 or none?
So shut the F up unless you know

That reminds me...................

Of the E170 model that use to sit next to the Red Couch in the Flight Options lobby.

The running joke was everyone wanted to sneak in one night, and spray paint the thing Bright Orange, so it would look more like the Carrot it truly was.

All joking aside, I hope things work out for everyone at Flight Options. Although I no longer work there, I still have many friends that do.

Many of these friends have families; as in children that rely on daddy's paycheck, no matter how small it is as compared to the rest of the industry.

Good Luck Guys.

Freedom is Not Free.
