Not sure if this has been covered yet but heard today from a furloughed Airtran pilot currently in requal class was told all of the furloughed pilots have been re-called. Good news for the Airtran pilots, hope it is the begining of a trend industry wide. Now all they have to do is get the company talking seriously about their contract that has been expired for almost four years.

Nothing is out officially yet. The facts so far is that around 100 of the 169 have been offered recall. The approx. 69 still left are "rumored" to be recalled in Spring, with hiring to commence in Summer.

For clarification, a union contract never "expires"; it becomes "amendable". We are almost 4 years beyond our amendable date. Current contract is still in force.

Sorry what I meant was it would be nice if the management at Airtran would get serious in discussing the CBA that was amendable almost four years ago in the interest of a pilot group that has been more than patient.
