LOL. Shows how little you know about this industy. I would chose the RJ guy over you anytime. Especially on a dark and stormy night. You take a Horizon or Skywest guy with the same 1700 hrs and they will fly circles around you in hard IMC. they do it all the time at night in the MTs carring a ton of ice, landing at mins, with poor braking action. How many times have you done that?

I very seriously doubt that. A military guys is a known quantity with the greatest training in the world. Who knows what I get from a UND grad with a CFII and time in a Saab. Look at guys like me. World wide experience in heavy Boeing equipment.

I'm not worried at all about finding major airline employment post AF retirement. As long as the airlines are hiring, then I will get on.

TankerClown,

that's an amazing ego you got, where can I become as cool as you?

I flew with a AF pointy nose type last winter. One night it was basically "holy S**t, we're not stopping". He had never flown to icy runways in his fighter. Everyone learns, some later than others. If you've never done or seen something ask the guy/gal next to you. Might save your hide.

BTW, not a UND type, but I have about 6000 hours in a Saab. Thanks for asking.;)

Not to defend Tanker clown but I do know a guy who did over 20 years in the Air force, everything from A-6's to A-10's and at the end of his career he only had around 5000 hours of flight time. I think harrier pilots average about 8 hours a month.
