OK we're waiting for the BIG news....where is it?

I just know that somewhere, someone is mulling over this "so very important list"...........inquiring minds want to know......?

I called the DALPA office just before 5:00 PM Cracker Kremlin time and they had not received the list from the arbitrator yet.

Well you know the arbitrators only said they would render a decision by today, what DALPA and NWALPA choose to do with is another story.

List

I know for a fact that BOTH MEC's have the list. And they are going over it. I am 100% sure of this info.

The General is wiping her cooter with it.

I just hope they let us know before happy hour ends. I have a feeling I'm going to need several drinks to help choke it down. Then I'll have a hang over and get on with life.

Good luck to us all. See you on the line at the New Delta.

when this list comes out, will it be an indication for potential hiring in '09?

The only thing the list will let them know is who they can furlough. Until they have the list, they don't know if they should furlough Delta guys or NWA guys. Now they can just lop the guys off the bottom and not worry about it.

So much for growth....

Starting in March, going from 12-18 MD-88s LGA-DCA to ALL E-175's. Looks like the NYC base will be getting a bit smaller.

The big question is where are those Md88s going after they leave the shuttle ops. The 175s are previously ordered or in service aircraft. If those -88s get moved then there isnt a loss of pilot positions.

Either way this just goes to show that scope is a huge issue that must be taken seriously.

General Lee will tell you that giving up scope is why Delta flies more wide-bodies than narrow-bodies. He seems to think smaller airplanes like DC-9's going away is a good thing.

I've heard him talk about the 717 as a replacement for DC9s. Perhaps you enjoy flying 1960s vintage airplanes.
