Cirrhosis of the liver is the 12th leading cause of disease in the US. And then you can get into lots of other effects from alcohol like car accidents and drunk drivers, so far almost 11,000 people this year to date. And then you have people that just drink themselves to death.

Alcohol has far worse physical consequences to ones body and society.

By the way, I never said I was perfect. What I said is that there is right and there is wrong and there is no in between. Do I do the wrong things. Yes. Absolutely....I'M NOT PERFECT. What this does not mean is that we should condemn anyone that tries to live up to a higher standard.

I am still curious how I was so dumb for asking how hemp is so harmful.

You know what, I am going to make your day. Since you are going to follow me around and make stupid remarks about me on each thread. The discussion was about MJ, I do not know why nor do I care why Amish Abortion Lover changed the word to Hemp.

We get it, you and Amish support recreational drug use. Knock yourself out. MJ is against the law and that is all there is to it. I am sure you are one of those guys who only follow the FARS that you approve of as well.

By the way while you and your buddy are quoting all of your DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE numbers, are you so stupid that you think that is only Alcohol? It includes all substances you morons.

Why do you think they outlawed MJ? Just because they don't want you to have fun? Probably the same reason they banned drinking and driving.

The only reason MJ is not legal is because the government can't figure out a way to tax it and actually collect all of the taxes from all sales that take place. People would be growing their own in every city in the country and they wouldn't sell hardly any in the stores, it would just be cheaper on the street.

Alcohol can easily be taxed and they know they're getting all of their taxes because people can't just throw together a brewery in their house to make enough to sell on the streets.

Alcohol kills something like 50,000 people each year, MJ kills what, maybe 10. Its all about marketing and profits for our government. They can care less about 50,000 deaths because they are making billions of $$$.

The fact that is legal to brew your own Beer at home kind of shoots a whole in your argument.

Nope, sorry. I never said I am in favor of recreational drug use. NEVER EVER did I say that. What I am against though, is laws that make no sense, or demagogery based on nonsense and misconceptions. My views are very libertarian based.

It was YOU who jumped on someone elses hemp comment, so do not blame that on anyone else. YOU said hemp was dangerous and killed, all I did was ask how. You said that was a stupid question, but you would absolutely not explain your comment.

And because I asked a question of you, (there was absolutely no insult in my question, or any implying anything whatsoever, unlike your response which included "dumb").

Point being if you are going to throw the word dumb at me for asking a question, you owe to to at least explain yourself. And now you are claiming I have advocated drug use. Is that the best you can do, to throw out words like "dumb", moron and make up lies that people here advocate drug use in this thread?

Luckily the people I fly for forbid anyone from smoking anything on their planes so I don't have to worry about it. You wouldn't believe me if I told you what I've told passengers who lit up just cigerettes when I flew Part 135.
Someone has the balls to light up a joint, back in my 135 flying days, where the smoke is going to come into my cockpit, they'll be treated like the loser that they are. If they don't put it out immediately I'll physically put it out for them. If they give me any sh1t about it, I would probably call ahead to have a cop meet the plane. Hell if I'm getting in trouble for some loser, and more importantly, hell if I'm gonna fail a random drug test because they can't wait till we land to smoke.

But Part 91, great job, no drug program for the company to worry about, the owner lights up a joint, might want to re-think what I might do. Probably nothing except have a chat with him at a later date about it.

Like I said, I guess some people will never fly the Rolling Stones.;)

It may also have something to do with the fact tat second hand pot smoke can effect others.

You are way off base. Wild guesses with no basis in reality.

Deaths by Marijuana are about 0.01% of users. A small percentage to be sure.

Deaths by Alcohol are about 0.004% of users, but that number is skewed high because it also includes anyone killed in an alcohol related accident, regardless of use.

Do you Support Any of The Arts?

We get it, you and Amish support recreational drug use. Knock yourself out. MJ is against the law and that is all there is to it.

Some of the greatest artists would not be, had it not been for the inspiration of recreational drug use. Artists, musicians, comedians, actors, etc. Those who thrive in the field of arts tend to have a proclivity towards drug use. Drugs tend to expand your mind and some drugs like LSD (which the Gov't created as a truth serum for spies) are so powerful (no one usually dies from LSD either) that they enhance your creative thought process by providing insight while broadening ones mind and perceiving nunances we don't normally pick up on in a sober state.
