Hey Rez, why do you always answer simple questions with more questions?

Because it seems that many on both sides don't really understand the situation or each other.

Without understanding there can be no problem solving...

Sure everyone wants the results they want, but they don't seem to understand the realities and complexities of the situation...

So I ask questions... to provoke critical thought. Without critical thinking there can be no problem solving...

Recall the FedEx jumpseat issue a few years back... How did that get solved? Was there a war? retaliation?

Let's stop twisting this until you cream your panties - the UAL pilots are letting this inequality slide because it benefits them. Period, end of discussion.

This is the key point isn't it? UAX pilots made a threat and the tactic apparently worked. It sends the message that:

1. The UAL pilots had the influence they denied they had;

2. Jumpseat wars work;

3. UAX pilots have a lot more power than previously thought;

4. ALPA national's jumpseat policy is irrelevant.

I just hope this doesn't backfire later. Glad it's resolved.
