Why does it need to be erj's?? Besides, come Sep. everyone will have spare A/C. I would really like to see ASA secure this flying, but I have this funny feeling that the ********************bags over in SLC will pick it up!

Its obvious who the SLC flying is going to be allocated to. The press release specifically only mentions SLC flying as being "reassigned". I wonder who will take over LAX flying?

I doubt ASA would re-open a SLC base, which would seem to be the only way to make it work.

However, if SKYW took over that flying, maybe, just maybe, we would see less of their jets out here on this side of the Mississippi and more ASA aircraft on those routes.

Someone is going to take the LAX flying. Delta has publicly said many times, most recently in the AJC as well as USA today, that it does not want to downsize LAX like it has decided to do with MCO. If anything, the DCI flying is merely holding the gate space until mainline can absorb it. It's a no brainer that Skywest is the front runner for that flying.

Yes let's all remember what Uncle Jerry said to the pilots here at ASA several years back about why he decided to shut down the ASA base in SLC: "We shut it down because it was cost-inneffective to have crew bases for both ASA and SkyWest running feed for Delta in the same domicile"

So using his logic there won't be a base for ASA in SLC, or for that matter a base for Skywest here in ATL.......wait a sec........

mmm Republic has spares ready to go. most have been painted white and with some of them coming off line to be replaced by 175s

Its sad to read these pathetic remarks about who is going to pick up this flying. What a bunch of vultures you are. It should be a sad day for us all to see the best paid pilots in our segment of the industry taking a blow like this. Its no wonder we all work for the pitiful scraps left behind in the wake of industry turmoil.

Whoever agrees to pickp the fuel cost will get it.

If nobody agrees then they will put the lowest bid with the highest performance.

I'd put money on Skywest. Unless they want first class cabin, then republic.

Strong arming from Delta will be part of the RFP.

....as when CMR, ALG, PDT, Air Wisconsin and ACA all lost flying...This has been going on for some time and will continue to as long as ALPA ignores brand scope.....The current environment is every man for themselves....It hasn't paid to be "the best paid" for quite some time.....

It's very simple....Either we bargain as ONE unit at each brand or we bargain SEPARATELY within each brand and do what is best for number 1.....and that ain't the other guy....Which will it be?

Another airline might get this flying, but its not going to mean Delta will be taking on any more 50 seaters... any flying you get here is going to be at the expense of loosing other flying. Its merely going to be a shift of airplanes from one set of routes to another.

So, don't get too excited.
