Oh well, if it's even more than those champions in the PCRB recommended, there should be dancing in the streets!

A320 failed to mention that the company still backs its no furlough policy as well in this new agreement. Sometimes job security is the best thing you can pull from this agreement in this turbulent times. AND some work groups even got a raise not a pink slip! If we got a raise even beyond what the PCRB recommended, these people would still whine about something...

JB mgmt. can go straight to h e l l.
A320, to come on a site like this and complain about contract improvements in this current environment is lame at best. Hundreds of good men and women, through no fault of their own, are facing NO job very shortly. Should we ALL be making more? Absolutely. Until then, you may want to ease up on the complaints on sites like this. My guess is sympathy will be hard to find.

D-Bo--I understand what you're saying but for anyone to get a raise in the situation we're in is amazing.

It absolutely should not influence whether JB organizes or not. If they needed a union at $70/bbl. then they STILL need one at $140.

As my friends and I prepare for our second furlough of the decade, someone being livid about only getting a 1% raise is a little hard to take.

Good luck. TC

Wise words. I agree completely.

The benefits a CBA are the same they were before this announcement. They didn't have to give us anything, but we got a bit.

Send in your card.

I'd say the biggest facial is the one TSA has done by taking on your uniform. I can't tell you apart.

While I think it's terribly sad that so many great folks are in bad shape, that doesn't take away the fact that JB management has doubled their own pay. I think A320 driver has every right to be upset.

You stupid a## other places are closing the doors and laying everyone off ! Youre getting a raise while the company loses money!

Hey. Fine. Take the pittance in exchange for no union and no layoffs. You can just get layed off after you merge with someone. I'm sure the other airlines union will be extremely happy that you guys allowed yourselves to be bought off. And what's to say you can't negotiate that deal after organizing? They already offered it. That would be a starting point. You guys are in a much better spot but they have you way more scared than I am. JBLU management is blowing on that fiddle.

Quit f#@king whining! You want to trade with the UAL guys?

Or Midwest?

Or Frontier?

Or AA (soon)?

Or ATA?

Or Suncountry?

Or USAir/AWA?

THIS kind of crap really pi$$es me off! You missed your calling by not being an '86 AA hire... TC

Amen, People are being furloughed and some turds are whinig about the raise they just got. This has got to be flamebait

And hey, at least you make yourselves a more attractive merger partner by not having a union. It wouldn't turn out good for you though.

Chalk it down to a hard lesson learned from American Airlines – a no-furlough clause is not worth the paper it is written on especially in the coming environment!!

What the F does the environment have to do with what you think you're worth and what does it have to do with organizing? You Frs have absolutely lost it when you talk about a pilot thinking he is worth more is "whining". Esspecially when it's a buy off. They aren't doing the ******************** out of the goodness of their heart. They woudn't offer a no furlough clause UNLESS they felt it couldn't hold up or if they didn't plan on furloughing otherwise. Learn from others mistakes. This game has been played numerous times.

You know what, I don't care anymore. Let's get the union on the property now, lay off about 200-300 pilots, and just be like everybody else.

I bet that's what management has ben telling you guys verbatim. What's the difference between this agreement with a union v without one? Really? Why would you being organized cause them to automatically lay off a few hundred pilots unless they planned on doing it anyway. Why the F couldn't they violate it? It's not binding by the RLA. Go ahead and go for it though. You'll continue to not have any bite to any bark you may have.

And hope you don't merge. Any other group will have their way with you. You'll understand when you could possibly go from your left seat job to hoping you get the bottom of a right seat job. By the time you learn your lesson it will be too late.

Keep running. Just realize that whatever happens to you guys outside of a merger is going to happen anyway whether you organize or not. So you may as well organize.

And you guys are just like everyone else. You just haven't come to realize it yet. What makes you think you guys are special?

You can tell the TSA guys and gals because they have a gold badge on their uniforms! Maybe that was the real reason they wanted them......too much confusion with the same uniform.

I don't agree the JB pilots got a bad deal. I am happily surprised at the positive changes in the compensation from both last year and this year.

And yes DeBo....JB pilots are different and special!
