Go with Delta, you know the routine... Noche on Monday, Manuels on Tue, Friends on Wed, Hand in Hand on Thurs, Dark Horse on Thurs, Righteous room on Fri, then Aqua on Sat and Sun. And of course the Claremont to finish your weekend nights. The highlands is the best scene out there! Atlanta is great and being a pilot we never have to deal with the traffic.

Sorry, after re-reading it did sound like I was throwing stones. For that I apologize. I just remember this thread from last year and I did, as many did try to give him honest input. The funny thing about him posting this thread back then was it seemed he never really was seriously considering SWA. So after giving him honest input I felt like I had wasted my time.

And the only reason I dug the thread back up was because I just read his post on another recent thread saying with fuel where it is he would have to start looking for another job.

But I guess he knows that, and it wasn't really cool for me to point it out here on FI. I really didn't mean it to sound that way ACL. I do wish you the best of luck. I just hope you dont have to spend time on the street like I did...not fun.

You know. It is what it is, and you are probably right. I really did not want to go to SWA. I still do not think that I would go there. I have talked to a few of my friends over there, and they do not think that I would like the culture. Who knows. It is what it is, and what is done is done.

If you don't want to work at SWA, I would not go to the interview.

A long time ago, I was hired at SWA and AA. I picked AA, but not after burning my bridge at SWA.

At SWA, I passed the interview with feigned enthusiasm. At that time, SWA was sort of a back up plan. Later, I turned down a training date and I asked them if they would hire me again if I ever wanted to come back. They said I could re-apply and interview. Even after being furloughed from AA, I never bothered. I felt like I had shown my true colors - I was never too excited about flying a 737 for the rest of my life. In hindsight, it probably would have been better if I had never interviewed at SWA.

Sometimes I think about the money I lost and that sucks. But, I'm kinda ADD and get bored really easily. Personally, I don't think I would enjoy doing 20 minute turns in the 737 for the rest of my life. For some people, it's great. For most pilots at SWA, it's a stable paycheck.

I am also very cynical and don't believe in things very easily. I thought the culture at SWA was kinda creepy. It made me uncomfortable.

If you would quit DAL for SWA, go to the interview. If you plan to turn SWA down, you might burn your bridge.

P.S. For all you youngsters - believe it or not, not everyone was dying to work for SWA ten years ago.

Good luck. It's a hard choice. You'll know in 25 years if you made the right choice.

you know I love how everyone quickly forgets how the delta and united and all the other legacy pilots would get on our jumpseat and spend the next two hours telling us how swa sucks and how little we make and how we should just quit and go over to the legacy carriers. The swa guys on here are just giving back a little bit of the ********************e we got from everyone else. If you don't like it quit comming to FI.

How on earth did we at SWA hire some of these people? I guess just like the 1% at the legacy airlines that bashed SWA we have 1% that will take the same pride in bashing all the others. Bravodude 4/3/06i think some of you are a little to paranoid. I stayed at the holiday inn select. wen't downstairs had a few beers and will be starting class on apr. 18. If you are concerned about where to stay so you don't make an as$ of your self then you don't belong here anyway. just relax(i know its hard) and be yourself.
