They should be on property at the bottom of the new list along with the 36 Emb's, perfect opportunity to get some flying back.......but I fear my wishes are falling on deaf ears.

Why do you want them on the property, why not Mesaba, Pinnacle, and Comair, Skywest, ASA, X Jet, Mesa, Republic, etc, etc, etc.

If they(compass) were to be added I would have to agree, they are just another regional owned by NWA. They shouldn't be in line ahead of any other NWA regional(Mesaba,Pinnacle). There are many pilots there that have way more years of service and would love to be ONBOARD with NWA. Hopefully the old days of NWA not hiring thier own tails will be gone and the new carrier will start hiring more from the red tail commuter ranks. The are many great people at the red tails cummuters that have been shut out over the years. Delta has hired many from their own commuters, unlike NWA.

Yeah, like Comair pilots...they love us and can not hire enough of us.:D

Are Mesaba, Pinnacle, Comair, Skywest, ASA, XJet, Mesa, Republic, etc, etc represented by NWA or DAL MEC? Compass is, not that it entitles us to anything other than fair representation. I'll be happy if we don't end up under the proverbial "bus".

Compass was set up as a safety net for any potential NWA mainline furloughees and has a flow thru agreement w/NWA already in effect.

Flight attendant accused of setting fire on airplane

By DAVE KOLPACK, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 5 minutes ago

FARGO, N.D. - A flight attendant angry about his work route smuggled a lighter aboard an airplane and set a fire in a bathroom, forcing an emergency landing, authorities said Thursday.
The Compass Airlines flight carrying 72 passengers and four crew members landed safely in Fargo on May 7 after smoke filled the back. No injuries were reported. The plane was flying from Minneapolis to Regina, Saskatchewan, authorities said.
Eder Rojas, 19, appeared in court Thursday, following his arrest a day earlier in Minneapolis, and ordered held without bail, prosecutors said. The charge of setting fire aboard a civil aircraft carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
His public defender did not return a phone call seeking comment. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lynn Jordheim, who is prosecuting the case in Fargo, would not comment.
Court documents said Rojas, of the Twin Cities suburb of Woodbury, told authorities he was upset at the airline for making him work the route. He is accused of taking a lighter with him through the security checkpoint, authorities said.
"Rojas further stated that he was preparing his cart to serve the passengers, he set the cart up, went back to the lavatory and reached in with his right hand and lit the paper towels with the lighter," court documents said.
Pilot Steve Peterka told authorities that an indicator light came on about 35 minutes into the flight, showing smoke in the rear bathroom.
Peterka called Rojas, who was assigned passengers in the back of the plane, and asked him to check the bathroom, documents said. Rojas, another flight attendant and a passenger were credited with quickly putting out the flames with fire extinguishers, authorities said.
Investigators later found a lighter in one of the overhead bins. Rojas confessed after authorities interviewed him, the complaint said.
Compass is a subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, based in Eagan, Minn. Rojas has been fired, said Northwest spokesman Rob Laughlin. Northwest did not say how long Rojas worked for the airline.
FBI agent Ralph Boelter said Compass Airlines officials showed "extraordinary cooperation" in the investigation.

Hi!

Compass and Mesaba are 100% owned by NWA. Compass is part of the NWA MEC, while Mesaba has a separate MEC.

Pinnacle has a minority ownership by NWA.

Comair is 100% owned by DAL, with a separate MEC.

The other feeders for DAL and NWA aren't owned by DAL/NWA.

I personally think that Compass due to its flow through agreement, corporate ownership and MEC should be part of the list. All of the other feeders are wholly owned, do not have the same MEC and have no flow through. It is only because of these reasons that they should be on the bottom of the list.
On top of that, it is where a bunch of us will be in a few years.

A combined DAL/NWA does NOT need 6+ regional feeders. One of them is going to get dumped by the wayside.

I fear it might be PCL, simply because of their performance as of late, word through the grapevine is that their ASA is in jeopardy because of multiple months of below-acceptable completion factors and on-time being so completely sub-par. All of that and Uncle Phil still won't come off some of that cash they've been hoarding.

I see Compass, Mesaba, Comair, and ASA as the surviving carriers, being left as whipsaw fodder (not combined into the mainline lists), and everyone else getting dumped.

Actually, mesaba is wholly-owned and also has a flow-through. Different MEC, but under the same holding company as compass.

That lone fact my be a sticking point. Either way I am more than happy to have you put on the bottom of the list. I would have been happy with a staple when I was at ASA. It is a great way to protect all of the flying and in turn protect the careers that we have chosen.

Mesaba has a flow too, but people have actually gone to NWAfrom Mesaba, Compass has not had anyone go, and they won't for many moons.
