Know that McCain will continue the demise of our profession. If you feel voting for McCain is the right choice for whatever reason, know that if you are an Air Line Pilot, your profession will suffer. Your quality of life, pride in your craft and future job security will decline.

Clinton gave us NAFTA, Bush gave us CAFTA, tell me where the difference is? Both are bad for the American worker!

Playing the devils advocate, we can say, that another terrorist attack will make the airlines suffer. Who do you want in charge O, B or McCain. Who do you think Iran wants?

Pride in my craft, please! Neither side will give a hoot about that, both sides wants the american public to be able to fly for 99 cents.

The Dems are in control of the house, has things gotten better? Nope! All the promises we heard that got them elected were just that, promises. Maybe we can have some more nonbinding referendums, that'll really do something.

Hate to tell you, but all of them are planning on you funding whatever they are seeking, yes you, the sort of, upper middle class, after all, to the "poor", you are filthy rich, making 70-150K.

I a not going to tell you who to vote for, but I am going to say, that I believe it makes no difference long term whatsoever. They are mostly all crooks, and they are going to do whatever they feel like.

Actually, the concern is we will not being flying those jets. The maritime industry is an indicator.

You are right to a point, but in general, Norwegian ships are being commanded by Norwegians, Danish ships by danes. They outsourced deckhands and are flying flags of convenience. Who made that happen? Why wasn't it stopped?

Why hasn't the european pilots suffered since the former easten countries were admitted to the EU? Why are asian airlines clamoring for expats?

The fact that some believe that O, B or M gives a hoot about airlines in general and pilots in specific is commendable, but at the same time, utterly depressing.

Every time he does oil goes up almost $5 dollars a barrel. Bush and McCain have not been anything but friends of the Saudis. Most of the terrorism money today still comes from there and the Gulf states. The addition that they want to put onto open skies will send us they way of the shipping industry. I may not like the Democrats but I am not stupid either.

Obama (as displayed in today's hearings) doesn't understand our need for national security (McCain does). Joe Lieberman described the democrat stance best "see no progress in Iraq hear no progress in Iraq and speak of no progress in Iraq". Sad.

Our national debt isn't particularly large in historical terms. Perhaps personal debt is, but that's not government's fault. And when did any democrat propose spending LESS?!

But as an Obama supporter you wouldn't listen to me: As your fellow Obama supporter Senator Rockefeller said today, we US military pilots don't care about people, we just want to bomb people and not care about them. VERY VERY SAD.

Who is commanding US ships? No one anymore.

If the Neutragena Boys want to keep thier ships, then they should. Thier gov't supports that. Ours did not.

It is all about politics. Recall I started this thread about how the anti labor gov't of Bush and Congress (at the time) were ready to make striking the same work stoppage as an act of terrorism. The pro labor politicians stopped it.

I seriously doubt this baseball arbitration would happen if McCain were prez. He cannot make laws, only sign them. That is unless a "labor friendly" democrat congress sent a bill like that to the congress.
