"Scabs"? I didn't know there was a picket line that had been crossed. Are the former AWA pilots on strike?

Can't be...I heard a "Cactus" call sign on the freq this morning...

I haven't seen any pictures of any picket line on the cover of the ALPA magazine...

One does not have to cross a picket line to be a legit scab. That's clearly defined in Websters Dictionary of you care to check. As a group, USAPA's singular goal in this world is to bust the ALPA union, and force some kind of advantage solely at the expense of the West. USAPA does not even try to pretend that they will lift a finger to represent any west pilot. That makes them organized scabs.

Binding is Binding...unless you're a scab and then it all becomes about "me first". The West didn't cause a scintilla of harm to the East...they don't owe them anything...USAPA wants to staple all of AMW because they're delusional enough to believe that a simple majority gives them the right to rape. In the end, USAPA is going to get creamed in court and this whole thing will probably end up costing the scabs the remainder of their pathetic careers.

USAPA is without question, a scab organization no matter how anybody tries to spin it.

I don't call them SCABS because that's an insult to Scabs.

To me they're more of a festering, pus filled, lesion; the kind where maggots enter the larval stage and begin eating the living flesh of the otherwise healthy host....

No, not Scabs at all....

Binding is Binding...

Didn't ALPA file a lawsuit against the binding arbitration in the Alaska arbitration.....I guess "binding is binding" only applies when ALPA agrees.....

Well, don't have a dog in this fight, but I at least want to get what you are saying clear here. Since the AA pilots left alpa, because they did not agree with alpa, and did not think that it represented their best interests, and formed their own union, the APA, does that also make them 'scabs' in your view??

Just wondering?

Excellent point. That law suit was thrown out by the judge. Just like USAPAs will because, in a court of law, "binding is binding".

Good Question. Absolutely not. Why? because APA was formed for the aggregate benefit for all members. USAPA is trying to force their will, (doh) on the west because they think they can due to the fact that they have a larger group. USAPA are scabs because the only reason they exist, is to steal what AWA pilots have rightfully earned. Watch the vote. When it comes in 99.9% against USAPA on the West, and 96% For USAPA on the East, the entire scab story is told.

This isn't an "independent union" this is a union busting machine that wants to consume what ever they please because they feel entitled. They're feel entitled to feed like a parasite on the careers of the west because they were too stupid to stay at AAA.

Binding is Binding.

Who gives a F**k what ALPA "believes"? This will go to court, where USAPA, (and probably US Airways depending on how far they entertain the scabs) will get their asses handed to them. I know what you're implying, but it's meaningless.

This is basically a political move. Per ALPA bylaws a new CBA has to be ratified by both sides. If ALPA goes away so too does that requirement. And the USAPA people know this. Since they would try to make our lives as difficult as possible we're having to make pre-emptive moves to discourage Easties from voting USAPA.

Plus, the Easties have been demanding pay parity with the West despite having withdrawn from joint negotiations so this is a dose of their own medicine.

We are way past political move here. You see, we have been trying for months to get the east to honor the transition agreement which they signed but they flt out refused. We went to the company as tried toget some resolve but thecompany would not talk nor would they force the east to honor the agreement. They instead reeped the benefits of BK contracts while setting up golden parachutes. All the investors have made their money so nothing to lose there.

USAir will be gone in 24 months as a result of this garbage and not a soul will miss them.

I actually think this one has six to eight months in it -- maybe more!

Well I guess i better sign up on this thread to keep abreast........

I love it....anyone think there will ever be any unity on the property at LCC.....be it ALPA or USAPA? Either way you are screwed....Either way there won't be any unity.....

Anyone want to deal with seniority now like every other profession......were you can transport you experience and were it doesn't rule your life like it does for us.....

.....never mind...carry on with the attacks while I pop more popcorn....

...anyone else see the irony......

A true ALPA believer? Sure, thats like believing in Santa Clause and Clinton never really inhaled or boned Monica either....... ALPA did a lot of good in it's day but there's been a lot of conflict of interest regarding in who they represent when it came down to the regionals from where I was from.....

I really do believe it's time for a change, not even considering this East VS. West thing.
(I don't even have a dog in the fight as a mainline new hire, heck I'm junior to every one!).

I just think ALPA has become a big money generating machine, a good old boy club that's filled with secrete agendas and full of expensive meetings sucking down my union dues......
It has gotten out of control and has very little sense of direction.........
I guess this makes me a "scab" according to some (idiots) because I don't think I'm getting my monies worth despite never crossing a picket line.
Starting out with a "clean slate" might do everyone some good if it's possible to sit down at a table and come to some form of an agreement on things. Then again that might be already asking for too much ......:bomb:

So the guys that flew struck work aren't scabs? They didn't agree with the union either. I'm sure they felt that they didn't get "their monies worth" either. So I guess you'll get your money from somebody else's pocket? Your version of "change" is being a parasitic scab. Dress it up however you like, but you and your scab kind should stop assuming the rest of us are that stupid, (As*hole).

....what about the scabs (actually crossed a picket line) who have held ALPA positions including CAL MEC Chairman....Want to address that little issue.......

Let me get this straight....Real picket crossing scabs can be ALPA members and hold ALPA positions....but ALPA members who choose to join another union are "scabs".....You ALPA cheerleaders wonder why there is such contempt for this sorry excuse for a union.....

So the guys that flew struck work aren't scabs?

AND JUST EXACTLY WHERE DID I SAY THIS "DEUCE" BAG? (read with the "H" inserted)

I never made any mention of struck work so please get a life...........

:angryfire

As a newhire, who has been in good standing paying his dues for almost 19 years (at another airline) who has had enough of ALPA. I am a scab now because I think another offer is better? AND YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE NOT A CHEERLEADER???:puke:
Like I said before, I have nothing to benefit from a new union....
I just don't think I got my monies worth from the old one. WHERE THE HE11 DID I CROSS A PICKET LINE OR PROMOTE STRUCK WORK BECKET?????
PLEASE TELL ME , I'M WAITING..............
:angryfire

JUST FOR THE RECORD I COULDN'T EVEN GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT USAPA , I JUST WANT SOMEONE OTHER THAN ALPA THIS TIME AROUND.

I'm no ALPA cheerleader. CAL scabs should have been tarred and feathered. I never said ALPA was perfect However, ALPA does not exist solely to destroy the careers of an entire, (innocent) airline. USAPA is laser focused on nothing but stripping AWA of their rightful seniority, (and nic agreed).

Any attempt to divert attention away from this fact is just towing the scab line. Just because it's huge, doesn't make them innocent. USAPA supporters are nothing but filthy scabs. Believe me when I say the word is getting out.
