The only solution for the APA and ALPA pilots is to strike over wages and working conditions. That's certain to solve problems. The problem though, your bargaining position has been reduced to ZERO ever since December 13, 2007.

When you're living in a crack shack in the bad part of town, sitting at a card table by yourself, wearing a wife-beater and boxer shorts, unshaven, with a bare-naked light bulb illuminating the table, at which you're eating Top Ramen, then you can play the sympathy card. Until then, shove it.
What's that, old man? I couldn't hear you because I was laughing so hard at the thought of you missing the deadline for your precious age change. Enjoy retirement you old bastard. I hope you lose your medical and can't even fly your fancy little GA planes that you were able to buy thanks to your rapid seniority advancement due to the age 60 rule. The only solution for the APA and ALPA pilots is to strike over wages and working conditions. I agree they should have changed it to 55, you old f@ckALPA continued to say it was a safety issue after having failed to convince the FAA at the ARC hearings and having signed multiple contracts for different Canadian pilot groups to fly to age 65. So clearly that was a lie based on discrimination as a union. ALPA managed to get Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Oberstar, whom they have given more money than any other congressman over the years, to put in protective language denying pilots Due Process or the right to go to court; the language also violated the Constitution in several other areas and ALPA President John Prater brags about it. That will come back to haunt him and ALPA. This all shows where ALPA has put their money and lost; I expect they will lose even more over the outcome of this issue too. Labor unions are supposed to help protect the people they represent; all members, not just the junior "get out of my seat crowd." We will see how profitable it is to violate the law and work at taking away peoples constitutional rights. The cost for ALPA doing business in Washington is going to go up, because they have not dealt fairly with the older pilots they were supposed to represent. ALPA is looking less credible all the time. The price may very well be punitive damages for their misdeeds.
Oh yes, if it makes anyone feel better, I have sold my airplane (and my Honda Rune) because I could not afford that lifestyle any more. Does that really make you happy? Probably so!
Reminder:
We will be having a post age-change get-together in San Antonio, Texas on February 8th. Attendees will be respnsible for their own room and dinner costs. APAAD will NOT be picking up the tab for attendees in order to ensure fiscal responsiblity/accountability.

For those attending that can't remember whether they are staying in the hotel or not, a hotel employee dressed as an FO will guide you back to your room after the evenings festivities.
Ya know, I can't help but think that its both disappointing AND pathetic for an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner to come onto a message board and gloat about a career windfall to a very small portion of pilots.
And to think this a-hole checks to see if people are of "good and moral character"..
Bet they'll still ask for the Early Bird/Senior discount...
You guys keep complaining about it,...this is going to be describing each of you in about 30 years...Fact of the matter is that he is probably a pissed off miserable old man. He's probably the guy who hangs out at FBO's and tries endlessly to get people to listen to his BS aviation stories all the while no one gives a rats. We have those "gummers" at my local airport. What a shame. Just can't move on. Gonna try till the last day to recapture something that was lost A LONG TIME AGO.
Ever heard of Karma, old timer? It means you're going to get yours. I have never seen the likes of your selfish, me-first attitude. Designated examiner? You aren't worthy of examining stool samples.Good day.
...in HNL sipping MiaTia’s,
I really love all of you, even the "get out of my seat crowd" from FI.
What the heck is a Mai Tai? Some sort of gay cocktail?
Selfish idiot.

For those who have never known:
The Mai Tai is a well-known...
If it's so well known, why do you keep misspelling it? Did you have to look up "Mia Tias" in a dictionary after I mentioned it or what?
And you thought it was a "gay drink." That's funny!
... Is there anyone out there who really didn't think the age would change in the U.S. after the ICAO change took place?...
Jesus H Christ, you're an idiot. Have you ever heard of the word sarcasm? I know what the drink is and how to spell it; I was bashing on you for misspelling it multiple times, but apparently you're too stupid to pick up on that.
