You are full of it. There's no way you have the Southwest spirit. I don't doubt that you interviewed, but you don't really have what they're looking for.

Guys and gals in the pool:

I would keep swimming but seriously look at other companies; Delta, Netjets, staying in active duty etc..... With the age 65 change (huge) and slow in growth, you're are looking at probably a 15 year upgrade to Capt, at least. Capt is where the money is long term and unless you are 30 years old or less I would go with a growing young company. Unfortunately, we are not young and growth is a roll of the dice at this point. I am not bagging on the company. I luv it here but....keep your options open.

For the SWA PD:

Your pool is a lot less crowded than you think.

Tanker Clown. You are such a tool. From a guy who's been at both companies you don't have a clue. How would you know about swa attitude and why swa hires who they do or don't? Give it a rest and stop posting until you have an Airline job and some interview credibility.

BTW, calling people stupid is a great way to show that Southwest Spirit!

Yeah, but remember, 15 year SWA FO makes roughly the same wage as 15 yr CA on the 737 elsewhere. You really think you'll hold widebody CA at a major in 15 yrs? Narrowbody, yes, wide, no. And add in the fact that you'll be pulling in 6 figs after 3 yrs at SWA and you will have 15 days off/mo from the day you start, and it's a pretty easy choice.

My opinion of course. But hey, if you want to look elsewhere, then I guess I can get an interview that much quicker.
