Hi Poco,

How are you? How is the job at UA going? You haven't answered any of my questions the last two months? I know you said back before summer that you had the inside track to a job at UA; you must have got in by now?

What equipment did you get, where are you based? Kind of strange though, your screen still says COEX.

Hey let all of us know whats it's like to move out of the RJ into the UA fleet?

Don't be a stranger keep us updated.

Wow, thanks for asking about me, and as a matter uv fact, I have been told to expect a call from United any time now, as I've had a few friends pull some strings for me. I think I will be hearing something soon.

So, when I get over there and we buy CAL, I promise to be nice to you when you get stapled to the bottom of the list.

I am always nice to my lowly gear jerkers ;)

I promise! LOL

Of course you're nice to your jerkers...don't know about gear though...

Are you a Colonel?

I'm a captain, I just met my major's board in the recent past. If you did your math (which I'm sure you didn't), you'd see my grad date from USAFA in '99 would give me approx. 8 years of service to this date. Obviously I wouldn't be a Colonel, or even a Lt Colonel for that matter.

Are the fighter jets certified for IFR? I heard they were VFR only. Was it hard to make that transition when you came to the airlines?

Are you so pathetic that you have to admit in public (on a message board no doubt) that you need your buddies to pull strings for you to get on with United?? Wait a second, I just answered my own question - of course you are. Which I'm sure are fictional buddies no doubt.

Pocono Pilot - sets the bar low and continuously fails to meet the standard.

Take care Pat.

All "fighter jets" are fully IFR capable. In military pilot training we spend months on IFR procedures and execution in both the T-37 and T-38. Then in our follow on "fighter jets" i.e. F-15, F-16, F-22, etc...we do multiple approaches in our TR phase - i.e. our transition phase. We then take an instrument checkride and continue to do so every 12-16 months.

I can garauntee you the instrument training in "fighter jets" is 10 fold more complex and advanced than your sorry a$$ will ever encounter.

That is so hot! I would do you in a second!

Even if it does take you "months" to learn IFR procedures. LOL It really isn't that hard, and we really don't spend more than a week on it.

I would still do you though. Oh, why do I have to be married?!? LOL

ps. The hottest scene ever in movie history was the vollyball scene in Top Gun with the fighter jocks!!!
