Geez those uniforms look hot! And by hot, I don't mean hot, I mean scorching, broiling, sunbaked, beads of sweat collecting during a 14 hour duty day stinking up the cockpit, chest-hair itching, arm-pit scratching, nails on the chalk-board, goosebump producing, hot!

I bet it takes 10 washed before those shirts even get soft enough to be semi-comfortable. I know this is "the future", but geez, this is not my vision of the future of pilot uniforms.

If these uniforms are the "future" I won't be a part of the future........

Skybus doesn't pay during training. Wow. That's rough. You have to wait 8 weeks to start making $30k/year. At least you get per diem and a free hotel!...wow.

Went to a VA interview in early Aug. Mainly out of curiosity. I have still not heard a thing from them even though they said they would let me know in 2 weeks. They have the worst communication. Anyway, if you are thinking of going to them..(they plan on hiring a ton next year)..Remember...no pay during 2 weeks init training in SFO. No hotel provided either. Uniforms are free but they do look very different and they have no plans on changing them. Insureance is CA blue cross/blue shield, when you upgrade you go back to year 1 pay, they pay for a cancelled flight but want you to make it up on a day off within the month (or soon after). So, it is very different. I decided not for me. I would be giving up far too much where I am at and they do not come anywhere close to benefits and pay. Some guys there think they will be getting widebody a/c but, I do not see this since they would go broke flying them only in US. Just my thoughts.

FlyI,Lots of former I guys here you must not be on there favorite list or you would be here.If you came to the interview just out of curiosity I am sure that came across in the interview.You may get a call but it may be awhile.
