Well said CL300....and most Flex pilots would agree with the above statement. I can honestly say that the more that I am on here the more I am understanding why the union guys tend to be so hostle towards non-union companies like Flex. I think its because these guys are so use to working for a company that did nothing but take advantage of their pilots and milking them for all their worth. Then when a company comes along that actually treats their pilots half descent, its too foreign for them to understand because they have become so bitter to all mgmt. regardless of who it is. Not to say that Flex is perfect, but they are actually trying on their own without being forced to do so by a union. And most union guys just can't grasp that concept. Of course one might say that the only reason they are doing it is to keep a union out......well, at least they are choosing to treat us right own their own rather than having to be forced to by a union board.

If there was a union at Flex I bet be would not have a floating rest. Why is Flex the ONLY Frac that still has a floating rest? Because we do not have a UNION> Why do we have to work 16 hours on our last day? Because that is what management wants. Simple they have the upper hand. The problem here is the top 100 pilots at Flex do not want change, they are so happy here with their 6 figure salary, they do not want to be bothered. Well if it was not for a union at netjets, you would not have anything here at Flex.

There are over 400 pilots at Flex. Well, what about the other 300 pilots at Flex? It seems that if they wanted a union, they would have the majority.....not the top 100.

And with a union then we could sit at the FBO without an aircraft or even another pilot for 12 hours a day instead of being able to sit at a hotel during those times. I have never worked 16 hours on my last day unless the airlines screws me over. (like mesa diverting then kicking off all the pax and the aircraft returns to its hub empty, leaving all there pax to fend for themselves.) I am not in the top 100 and I DON'T WANT A UNION. Are you saying that before the union at netjets Flexjet had nothing?

Netjets has a union and Flexjet doesn't. If you want to work for a union you have an option, if you don't want to work for a union you have an option. Why is the trucker union trying to take away my rights to chose between the 2 options?

Flex does not have floating rest.
Where do you get your info?? Very rarely do you ever have a 16 hour last day and if so that would be due to airline delays.

Flex does have a floating rest buddy. If your trip on day two cancels before you leave the hotel, you my friend are not on duty, that means you have a floating rest. If the company is not going to put you on duty, than say ok re-up your room, than call you at 4:00 pm give you an hour and half to show at the airport than buddy you can work 14 hours. If that is not floating rest, than what is?
