These improvements are good, but not great. I will not look a gift horse in the mouth. Thanks D&D. This was a step in the right direction. BTW, it wasn't enough to make me withdraw my SWA app.

Guys, ignore instructordude....he is a POS. He is a flamebait master. I cant tell you how many times I had to warn the guy when I was a mod. Please...use the ignore feature. As for you instructor guy....you are truly a piece of work. Go back to your scab outfit.

I wouldn't be surprised if instructordude is that little wet fart uppercrust.

P.S. Three pages and no one has written anything about cabin cleaning?

This is a step in the right direction. Back to crossing seatbelts. Click Click boom they must have noticed my boycott!!!

Are you serious? United has a 16% B-Fund: Continental, 12.5%: AirTran 10.5%. We absolutely still need to look at retirement. This pay raise was a slap in the face. They can't fill the classes we have now, people are bailing in record numbers, and they just dropped first-year pay in the Bus!?!?!?! Unbelievable...

Jetblue's first year pay is still head and shoulders above all the other majors except FDX, SWA, and DAL. FDX pays $57, SWA around $61, and DAL $49. Everyone else is well below. With the exception of the dismal e190 fo rates of last year, FO first year pay has never been the area that needed much attention.

10% match of your money is a major step to giving us good retirement savings. There is also potential to save more if/when the company exceeds the 5% gross match in profit sharing.

Additionally, they're not done yet. On or about Apr 16th, we (the pilots)should find more out about a defined contribution program. The 401k and profit sharing thing was company wide, all positions. Enough said, it is a step in the right direction-- all this done without third party representation or 1-2 years of negotiations. Some airlines are still negotiating, others are still giving up pay/benefits-- and as long as airlines maintain their competitiveness with pay/benefits (or increase them)-- jetblue is likely to continue to address these issues to ensure recruitment and retention.

Where did you hear something about a defined contribution plan? I haven't heard anything about it. Are you saying that we will be given something above and beyond what they already announced?

While I'm not too impressed with the raises, I guess I can't complain too much. Less than two years on the property, and I fly with my favorite Captain every day and will make about 90K during year two. Not great, but it beats flying for Hulas.;)

I think he misread the email, or maybe I did. The DC plan is discussed under NEXT STEPS, but that was just a summary of what was already stated. Just more clarification and details will be coming in April.

Just 5% match, plus a Defined Contribution of an additional 5%. If profit sharing exceeds 5%, we get that in cash.

O.K. that's what I thought. Believe me, I'm happy with the 7% jump in retirement savings, but I'm just a little upset with the 190 CA pay.

dear upset

upset because you're on the 190. me me me me me me.....get over it, you knew the payscale when you were hired, and I'll bet your not worth 20 bucks an hour, so the company is overpaying you. If you don't like it leave.
