Hello anyone out there flying for Vision Airlines on their Donier 328's. Not sure if this is the right site to do this inquiery but just wanted to know QOL, schedules etc. I submitted a resume last June and just recently sent another one. Looks like they may be hiring soon. Any info will be helpful

Can't vouge for any of the particulars except this experience: I sent my "stuff" to them 4 times via e-mail and fax. After 6 months I received an e-mail to which I replied. Vision never wrote / called after that. They were searching for 328 Qualed guys. With over 1800 328 hours and living 30 minutes from their main airport in Phoenix, I thought they might be a bit more responsive to my inquiries to work for them. I learned everything I needed to know from this experience. It seems like another understaffed airline trying to penetrate / build a market. I wish them and you luck!

Been on both sides of the fence, recommend getting your paper work together and start knocking on doors, this will produce results.

Yikes.....Acor Brothers. Run away....run away.....

Rooby, why does Vision use the call sign Rooby on their 228's at VGT? By your information (3 posts also) you appear to be a manager snooping for info. My .02..

HawkerJet,

thanks for being non-judgemental, rational and reasonable with your reply.

would you provide some relevant info to this thread if i told you i had 7000 hours, a civilian background, and have flown pipers, crjs, and citations? would you like me to provide you with my certificate number?

because, obviously, you are a legitimate pilot, as indicated by the depth of info posted in your profile. add to that the sheer number of your posts, and i can see why nobody would have reason to doubt you or question your intentions or motivations.

i mean a "manager snooping for info" wouldn't possibly be ...........dishonest in his/her profile, would they??

i suppose it will only be okay for me to ask questions after i have a few hundred posts. but wait, nobody will read or answer my posts since there are so few of them.

in case you do read this, i'll show you the courtesy you weren't able to muster....i'll answer the question. i have no idea why. i have nothing to do with vision. in fact, i am looking at them for a possible position. therefore, when somebody says "stay away", i just might be interested in why.

thanks again for sharing your amazing ability to completely and accurately judge someone from a single question posted on a webboard. your loyalty, support, and unflinching trust is an inspiration to your fellow pilots.

Rooby,
I feel this is a pilots board to exchange new ideas and information. I also thought it was odd that your handle was very similar to that of Vision 228's in VGT. My gut feeling told me something and I expressed it. I felt it is totally appropriate for this board. If you're offended by my remarks, which are not judgemental, and are rational and reasonable, then excuse me. Thanks for your response and good luck with the job search

Can you expound on that a little, for those that might be trying to get some information regarding Vision?

Thanks,

Rooby

While I'm sure there are some fine people employed at the operation, let's just say their owner's reputation leaves much to be desired. In the past, there have been some unusual business practices (although not that unusual among some now-defunct canyon companies), poor pay and benefits, "creative" interpretations of regulations, and the like.

If you are just trying to gather information, there you go. If Hawkerjet is right, go tell Billy people think he's a schmuck.

Great, so do I. Exactly what new idea and/or information were you exchanging with your post?

A screen name and not enough info in a profile gave you a "gut" feeling that something was wrong? And you felt that was sufficient to make an assumption and an accusation?

I felt it is totally appropriate for this board.

Which is probably why most people "lurk" on here for entertainment, and get real information and support from other websites. Thank you for teaching me that lesson personally.

If you're offended by my remarks, which are not judgemental, and are rational and reasonable, then excuse me. Thanks for your response and good luck with the job search.

I'll respectfuly suggest you get a dictionary if you think your comments were not judgemental, rational, and reasonable. Or at least apply the "reasonable man theory" before you post.

It looks like the way to do things on here is:

-- make an assumption
-- make an accusation
-- rationalize it when somebody calls you on it
-- ask to be excused
-- say thanks and good luck
-- think no harm done because it was a "gut" feeling, AND
because you posted a little smiley

GSD -

Thank you. At least now I have a general idea of what "stay away" means and why.

The Acor brothers are allright people if you dont mind dealing with the BS that seems to be prevail at most 135 operators. When I was there we were running 8 PA-31's and a few D0-228's, I have to commend them for growing Vision into what it has become today. The biggest problem when I was there was not the Acor brothers, but the Director of Operations, Glen. This guy was a real a**hole and made it his mission to make everyones lives miserable, anybody else here had to put up with his crap?

Rooby,
You're an idiot!

Doorknob 228 turboprops. Not 328's and certainly not 328Jets.

Check your current facts there Gunshot. Unbelieveable as it may seem to an ex-Vision person like myself they are indeed operating 328 PROPS AND JETS. Just talked to a buddy of mine who is still at Vision in the left seat of the 328JET. Im actually thinking I should have stayed with them after all, maby leaving for this great "Airline" career wasnt the best move:confused:

...But you are correct with the 228's. Back in the days when I was there we had a bunch of "The Ho's" (PA-31) and (2) 228's. But the most bad ass bird of the fleet was 401VA for anyone who was there to remember it, last I heard it has been religated to life as a "hanger queen"...sad

Just shows you how often I get to Northtown....

Sounds like Billy's movin' on up.

I always hated getting passed by the Ho's over the Shivwits...our creaky old Ought 2's could pass the Otters but not a whole lot else.

Here's the 328 prop...

I was at Vision during the Summer of 2004, in the Jetstream32... I worked my butt off when I was there, got my time and got out. The owners were kinda pains in the arses to work for, but it was good for my career. On days I wasn't flying I worked flight control and really got an education on how an airline runs.

If anyone was there when I was.. The is the Clown speaking.. Is Danny Sprenger still there?

I believe that Vision has 4 328 props, 4 328 jets, 5 228's, and 4 B-737's doing charter flying Europe.

And yes, Sprenger is still there!

Anyone have an update to the current fleet? Working conditions, hiring, outlook ect. Thanks

I heard that they have finally completed their 121 certification and are expanding rapidly into areas outside of the Grand Canyon.

Expanding is hard when they don't call back a local pilot with D328J time on both seats in 121. Good Luck Vision"less" Air.
