CHQ's new CRJ's When do they arrive?

Any CHQ folks can tell me when do your new CRJ'S start arriving??? Has any new trainig/upgrades began for this new flying? By the way what bases will these aircraft go to?
 
There are some already on property. Bases are SDF, IAH and CRP (???) The initial cadre of CAs & CKA have been trained and are doing proving runs; first group of FOs is finishing up sim now (so my friend in that class tells me).
 
What I can't wait for is the first thread once "somebody" flies on CHQ ConConx. I can see it now. The captain made terrible announcements, the "service" was not up to par to XJT. The FO had spikey hair, and did his walkaround with a cell phone and ipod hanging off his belt. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I'm starting the bidding at 3 pages. Call it a preemptive bet.

I believe they start on Jan 7. I give it until Jan 8 for a CHQ ConConx bashing thread.

The New Year will bring more of the same for FI I fear.
 
The first flight will have 20 XJT jumpseaters, all hoping to ride up front and critique the crew!

By the way, we have unlimited JS, so welcome aboard XJT folks!
 
had a CHQ jumpseater the other day say that the FAA is about had it with the whole CRJ program. I guess they haven't been able to get up to par yet. Highly likely that they will not meet the Jan date with all the a/c.
 
one has been sitting daily at the B term hardstands at IAH doing proving runs...actually kind of painted with CAL colors, minus the globe and wording of course.

I'll add my two cents. Those CRJs are far from new (though they are new to Chautauqua), they are old ACA/Independance airplanes. It seems that almost every CRJ operator now has at least a few of these birds. What a shame. I shake my head every time I see an ex-blue ridger.

I didn't fly for ACA but wanted too. I was put in the "pool" about two weeks before United filed for bankruptcy, the rest is history.
 
Those are Ex FLYI/ACA planes. Sad to see what happened to them. there are still a few in a hangar in YUL and 4 still in Zephry Hills Fla. But the real pigs of the fleet, 620BR-625BR were flown out of RFD to ARG on Dec 1st.

That's funny because today is the last day of proving runs. The Feds actually waived the last 10 hrs because they have seen enough to satisfy themselves. The problems are on the MTX end of things, not the Flight Crews. Sorry to dissapoint you, but CHQ will be in IAH on 01/08/07 to start CAL operations.
 
Another tid-bit for you X-Jet guys who know everything. The ERJ will be doing the flying out of STL as well to get everything up and running.

No need to worry, we will have our ducks in a row come game time.

Jesus, God, Mary and Joseph!.....
No it won't, honestly I as well as most of XJT could give a rat's a$$ if you guys fly CRJ's into Houston, we lost the bid, it's business, not personal, who fuggin' cares. However, it got personal the other day though when you guys gave my friend the finger the other day on the hardstands while pax were boarding our plane....real professional guys, nicely done and I commend you on your efforts. That action there just strengthened my resolve to get that PIC time, use my internal connections and get out the door and fly purple tails for the rest of my "career."

Like it took a guy allegedly flipping your "buddy" off to make you realize you don't want to be a regional pilot the rest of your life?

Besides, I would hardly call any of our coworkers comment on here, our crackpipe, or CHQ's message board professional.

We all know that bringing on yet another type is old-hat to CHQ!

I doubt the finger-giver was unprovoked, after all CHQ is not the sore loser here. We need to get along and be professional - jumpseat wars will end in tears for all concerned!!

Considering these are 90% check airmen and 100% Captains flying the plane, I call BS on your accusation.

I could care less about your pilot group. The post was in ref to us being ready to fly the CO operation on time.
Keep buliding up the 1000+ hours. Let that anger and your misconceptions guide your way.
