36 CRJ's - 35 Avros - 1 CRJ (to compass)=no growth at XJ. After seeing both of the latest proposals being thrown around, I couldn't afford to and won't work there if I were called back. Absolutely dispicable what managment has done to that company.
Spanjers can kiss my hairy beanbag and I hope he gets crabs.
And don't forget, there used to be 60+ saabs, now reduced to 49.
I'll take a stab...Mesa?
FWIW, as the EMBs are going to Compass, NWA furloughees have %100 of the seats reserved.
As NWA is purchasing/leasing the CRJs, NWA pilots own half those seats also.

I noticed this back in Feb of 05 when I was hired. The new hire paperwork made it sound like XJ had well over 100 airplanes. Go to class to find out it was actually only 95 or so. Did those 60 or so Saabs inlcude the few from 9e? How many Saabs has XJ actually lost?
How do you figure? If any of these aircraft come to Mesaba or Pinnacle you can bet your *ss we won't be giving away seats. If NWA pilots want those seats they can put them on their certificate.
Thats only if you exceed the avro replacement at mesaba. If mesaba gets the jets than the first 36 are not for NWA. If they go to another carrier we get the captain/FO slots.Uh, its called the NWA Pilot's Working Agreement, such as it is: To quote:
• If NWA purchases, leases, or finances these aircraft for
the nonaffiliate (non-SJet) feeder carrier, then 50
percent of all captain and first officer positions
associated with these financed aircraft go to laid-off
NWA pilots.
So, really, you have a choice, provide %50 of the seats, or no jets. Take your pick. And read closely, %50 of those seats are PIC positions. So you can bet YOUR a$$ that either you accept the pilots with the aircraft, or you can pass. They're not your seats to "give away", NWA pilots already own them.

This is really just getting more ludicrous by the day.
"Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it, `and what is the use of a book,' thought Alice `without pictures or conversation?'
So she was considering in her own mind (as well as she could, for the hot day made her feel very sleepy and stupid), whether the pleasure of making a daisy-chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the daisies, when suddenly a White Rabbit with pink eyes ran close by her.
There was nothing so VERY remarkable in that; nor did Alice think it so VERY much out of the way to hear the Rabbit say to itself, `Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!' (when she thought it over afterwards, it occurred to her that she ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seemed quite natural); but when the Rabbit actually TOOK A WATCH OUT OF ITS WAISTCOAT- POCKET, and looked at it, and then hurried on, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit with either a waistcoat-pocket, or a watch to take out of it, and burning with curiosity, she ran across the field after it, and fortunately was just in time to see it pop down a large rabbit-hole under the hedge.
In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering how in the world she was to get out again."

Just because it says it in your contract doesn't mean it will ever come true. You see we have this thing call a "contract" too and we in fact OWN every last pilot seat in our house. Giving away captain seats in our house is not negotiable. If that means you have shove that oversized crj up your *ss than sobeit.
