When you throw out stupid stuff like "little bush" and "poppy" people stop listening to you. Chickenhawk? March your a** down to the TX ANG and call 'em that.

Fight in the Balkans handled well? How? The "steady drumbeat" to war in the Balkans bypassed the UN. Ms Maddy f'ed that whole thing up from the beginning. What makes you think it was handled well? Did you participate? Case study? Or is that just part of the Talking Points?

Further, since you like empirical evidence, just google some basics about the economy in 2006. Seems like its doing well to me, and forecasts are great.

Credit Jeb for the responses to the Florida hurricanes. Having gone through four of them while living in FL, the man did a great job for the past three years. Contrast that with Nagin and Blanco.

I know, I know...it's much easier to just blame Bush. I wouldn't expect any less from the intellectually lazy (and dishonest). Later

It's amazing how many people consider FOX to be their only reliable news source!

Finally! I've been trying to track down someone who knows that FoxNews reports factually inaccurate news items. You seem to be the guy. Please point me in the right direction so I can prove to all my friends that FoxNews reports things that aren't true.

I also remember that time FoxNews struck a deal with Hussein limiting negative news coverage of Saddam's government in return for being allowed "access" and being allowed to keep their Baghdad station open. Oh, wait a sec...that wasn't FoxNews was it? Maybe you can help me out with the answer to that one.

Ok. I'll bite.

The 9/11 Commission Summed it up pretty well. F = Failure

9/11 is supposedly Bush's shining moment. Its the one time America was behind him. National Security is his strongest polling point still. Why? Because ignorant americans think that just because we haven't had an attack since 9/11, that Bush solved the problem. "We will fight them over there..."

The 9/11 Commission, a bipartisan focus group, gave Bush and this congress a failing grade on protecting America from another attack. We have cockpit doors. It probably won't be another airliner, but we are not immune and not any more secure than on 9/10/01.

Why did Bush not focus on real national security? Why the tax cuts? Why aren't we asking all americans to sacrifice? Why not the draft? Bush opposed the creation of the DHS. He opposed the 9/11 commission.

What will americans think of Bush if we have a significant attack again? I hope we don't find out.

I quoted your comment. Reread it. I was responding to your comment and I quoted it. Get it???

Humiliated? You should be, I'm certainly not. Personal attacks and name calling are childish. Go back to your play room and play.

Check your PM's

B6Guy

Let me get this straight. Your first response was, and I quote: "You must be pretty amusing to watch balance your checkbook." I guess that you don't see that as a personal attack. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.
As for your PM to me, all I can say is that you're a jerk. My sympathies to the good people at JetBlue who have to work with you.

Frankly, Im amazed anyone could think Bush is doing a good job. After 9/11 going into Afganastan and effectivly attacking the terrorists were they were hiding was a good thing. Going into Iraq has created a breeding ground for terrorists that did not exist before. THEY WERE IN NO WAY A THREAT TO US. They are now and will be for a long time. AND he truly hurt our credibilty with the rest of the world, a world we have to live in I might add.
This incredibily inept handling of the New Orleans disaster personified by the biggest idiot that ever made a news headline (Brown) is just the tip of the iceberg. The Republican "If I have mine it's OK" mentality is what is going to be our downfall. The cronyism that exists in this administration is appalling. Millions of Americans are losing everything they haved worked a lifetime for. Good people in all walks of life have lost pensions, careers, health care etc. a select few have made millions, not because they were particulary smart or contributing anything to society, they just happened to be the most cutthroat. America grew strong on Corporate America, Corporate America is crumbling due to the greed of a few at the expense of millions.

Sorry left pole smoking liberals I must side with MAgNum.

The sole reason we were attacked and invaded by dirty bums in nightshirts, is because Clitwad bill and rainbow hillary cut our intelligence to scraps and made a mockery of our homeland. JFK or any other old School dem would never let our borders, language and culture turn to mush like slick willy did.

Our defense programs along with homeland security and Fema all were shredded under Clitwank. Its ok if it makes you feel better to blame Bush, who cares. IT just makes you look even more simpleton than you are.

The levies mr Sancheese were old and only maintained to hold around 15' of water. Clitwad never reinforced or improved them. Blame Bush.

Congrats Mr. Pres. You just took office. Its time to Re-Arm the USA, stop aids, stop Hurricanes (LMAO), fix Fema, stop hate crimes, FIx the ailing Economy that was left by the "draft dodging chimp Clitwank" and meanwhile wipe Andy and Sancheese a@@'s. Oh and let my family live on welfare for another 3 generations. Bill would go.

Get real people, stop blaming others especially a President that has thrown not only $$ but resources towards improving the USA. JFK would have done the same thing, or any other old school Dem that believed in the USA. THE DNC sure has become a mockery since Bildoe and HIllary f'ed it up and continue to do so. JFK would have Bills Nutz on a grill by now. Until the people stop yielding to the DNC and the RNC and get another 2 or 3 real new parties involved this country is headed for dire straits. The pan handling to special interest groups is what controls both parties, like it or not.

Interesting response when you consider people are needlessly being killed and maimed in Iraq and millions of Americans are losing everything they worked for while a handful are getting rich.

Well i don't see FEDEX or Brown losing pensions???? do you ???? Oh wait no dirty bum in a nightshirt took control of any cargo ops planes on 911. Fault lies with the Cliton admin, not Bush. Lack of intelligence led to 911. A tragedy. 8 years of nonsense intelligence then the reins are passed to Bush and its his fault. The economy has suffered ever since 911. Our involvement overseas stemmed from our homeland being attacked. I don't think IRAQ was right at all. I have family serving there. Bush isn't the answer i KNOW.

Since your so in the know, who are the handful that are getting rich?
The small business owners? or just big oils businesses? OR are you watching ABC, NBC, CBS, or CNN for your information?

When I say a few are getting rich at the expense of millions I'm talking about people like Michelle Burns and the numerous other Delta Execs who have huge golden parachutes. Al Checci and his crew who leveraged a debt free NWA to line their pockets, how many millions did Steven Wolf walk off with at the expense of thousands of USAir employee's? Enron, GM, "Chainsaw Al Dunlop"? Lorenzo, Orenstein. The 400 or so managers at UAL who will get rich while some retiree's will lose most of the income they were depending on just to meet basic human needs(food, shelter and medical care) The list goes on and on. Our corporate "leaders" no longer build companies, they line their pockets.

I hate to say it but if oil hasn't retreated by now, the winter months, then $50-$60 per barrel oil will be the norm for the future. We are in the lowest demand months and the oil market is still strongly supporting $58/ barrell. Not to mention it's sensitivity to price shocks. OPEC is in bed with Chevron, Anadarko, Exxon and Unocal. Together with the Russians, Venezuelans, Brits and Brazilians they are going to keep oil absolutely as high as the market will allow. And the market has no problem supporting $60 oil.

Wait until next summer. It will approach $68 per barrel. And lets not forget all of the oil rigs that are still lying on the bottom of the Gulf or Mexico. It will be years before those rigs come back on line.

I fully expected oil to retreat, but if it's able to stay this high through the winter of '06 then the oil companies have us and we'll be paying with our first born for this commodity for the rest of our lives.

BTW, I heard a report yeaterday that attacks in Iraq now average 700 per week. Since this was on NPR, I challenge the validity of such a statement. But if it's even halfway true, we ain't even close to getting an upper hand in Iraq. So long as the Mid East reamins unstable there will remain a catalyst to bidding up higher oil by the market speculators.

I agree with everything you said there. But, you're mistaken if you believe it's a Republican politician problem. I'd say it's a US politician/no business ethics problem. Follow the $$$. Kerry is great friends with Fred Smith (just like Bush). Ken Lay hosted fundraisers at Tereas Heinz Kerry's house. The dotcom boom/bust and seeds of all the recent lapses in bidness ethics were sown during the late 90s (under Clinton's "watch"). Do I blame him for that? No. I blame greed, greed, and greed. That's not unique to any particular political party.

The rest of your stuff about US foreign policy was just dumb. Happy New Year.

Yeah, I had a hard time finding all the factual inaccuracies reported on FoxNews, too. Thanks for trying, though. Didn't have the same problem finding blatant bias/flat-out falsehoods on AP and Reuters, though.

You can actually see the various inconsistencies when you check out about 10 different news sources a day. You should try it sometime. There's newspapers, website, cable channels, blogs....all kinds of media these days. Widen your view, and stop thinking in such simple red state/blue state terms. Happy New Year.
