Is pilot recruiting out at Mcclellan still? Anyone have a name of the head recruiter or CP? PM please if able.

Went by MCC flight ops to drop a resume. Didn't realize the place was on serious lockdown. No one allowed in without appointment. Oh well. I guess I will try another avenue.

That's helpful...

Wait a second, I'm on Flightinfo. Why was I expecting any different?

That is what they want to see, name dropping doesn't help.

Sorry,
I would have warned you not to go to MCC if I had known that is what you wanted to do. The folks are extremely busy out there, and the chance that the CP and Hiring Manager would even be there is slim to none.

Able, no, nothing new on the arbitration front. The company is deliberately stalling ANYTHING union-related, our grievances included.

Last thing I will do is give up. I want my record cleared primarily, and secondarily, I want my job back since getting a job ANYWHERE else has been completely killed by the company's termination letter - it's part of my PRIA file, and is VERY hostile and tells everything they want. 3 attorneys so far have told me they can do that, believe it or not. PRIA rules have changed pretty dramatically on case law.

Thanks for asking... it sucks being gone from my son so much, killed off my marriage, and I'm due for a little good news for a change. :)

p.s. I'm glad I didn't go down to XOJet headquarters when I was sitting in SFO for a few days last month. Was thinking the same thing (make a personal appearance to make a personal impression), and decided against it.

Does anyone know if its possible to get on with either XO or NJ without a college degree with plenty of time in your book or is it just a long shot? Thanks.

Can't answer for NJ, but it isn't required at XO. I think they would like to see one but it isn't necessary unless you want to apply for a non pilot job that may require a specific degree.

Both jobs are WHO you know... not your flight time.

Trust me on this. With only about 5-10% getting the interview and only 50% of those getting the job...

Tough job market right now. Good luck to you!

A friend of mine was hired almost a year ago without a college degree. He probably had ten letters of rec, had a lot of customer service type of experience and a couple type ratings (with time). I was hired 18 months ago, but that was the day the were talking about lower than standard.

Ran into an old friend while he was in class at CAE/Simuflite, he's now a 2+ year captain at XO. He said they have stopped hiring completely and have a good sized pool.

Oh well, glad I didn't want to fly the CE750 anyway.

snap finally a company that has a base where i live, pays well, people enjoy going to work, and flys a decent plane. oh well

I doubt we actually have 11 or more pilots in the pool. I know we just interviewed about 2 weeks ago so there may be a few waiting on the next class. I hear the next one is going to be a CL300 class and is going to be in Jan now due to the 3rd sim still not being ceritfied... We are going to be hiring like crazy next year so keep that online app updated. Good luck, this place is awesome!

This looks like a great place to be! The 8/6 and the 7/7 schedule is the way to go. Nice machines too.

t-bone have you heard of anyone getting hired with the bare min's???

Thanks in advance!

V

We hire people with all kinds of backgrounds "v". And yes we have hired people with the bare mins.

Anyone get called for an interview without an internal recommendation?

I have been updating for a year, no call yet. No call for anyone I know who has applied there.

I have been updating there at least every 2 weeks since April with nothing heard. I do not have any recs there so I guess that is the problem. I do have 13 types and over 18,000 Jet PIC. I am 59 so that could be a problem as well-wish I knew.

same here..I dont have 13 types...but I do have 2000 hours in the Citation X. I have heard nothing as well.

thanks cherry20, Do they consider hiring expats any different to everyone else??

I'm from downunder.

thanks again mate!

I've been updating my resume for over 6 months and not a peep. Same goes for all my friends who applied. Maybe send the person in charge of hiring a nice basket of fruit (or booze)?
