look at what his followers have become. no sense of humor. refusing to let people enjoy funny jesus drawings (which he created in his infinite omnipotence).

There are times for humor, and times for reverence. I know that's a foreign concept. I have laughed at irreverent things myself. Things that are actually funny. This was weak. VERY weak.

The intention of the writer was to steer clear of real creative comedy writing, and they decided to hijack some artwork, attach a few snide comments, and denigrate someone who is almost universally respected, if not accepted.

I have a great sense of humor. I'm trying to communicate with you aren't I? :D

I'm not t all 'hurt' by your remarks. I just don;t like to leave foolish statements unanswered.

AND - you are not being honest. If people were making cartoons of a person very close to you, and mocking them, it WOULD bother you.

By the way - the "I won" comment - that was just me being a punk. I'm not perfect, of course.

Also why are you so angry? My blood pressure hasn't gone up a bit this whole time. Why are you letting me control your emotions with my opinions?

i'm not angry. i say f*ck in everyday life. my boss says f*ck. my chief pilot says f*ck. we say f*ck. it's a word. you're just annoying...that's all.

really i'm not sure the cartoons would bother me. you don't seem to understand.

It's apparent we've found a subject on which there are some extremists who have decided they are the authority. Once again, their closed mindedness takes a light thread and turns it into poisonous flames. I didn't see it as flamebait, just twisted humor. There are plenty of things that people post here that are meant in jest in which I don't find humor. My answer to that is to not laugh and move on. It would be nice if others could find the same reaction and leave their ugliness to themselves. TB has been seen to write here that if there's a thread one doesn't like, they should move on. Interesting he doesn't practice what he preaches whenever religion isn't presented in the manner in which he approves.

Hugh Jordan, the original set of cartoons may be funny to some, offensive to others or just plain sophomoric (kind of like the double entendre with your handle). I expect this type of irreverence from some people. It's sad to me though that some have to get their jollies making fun of other people's faith, especially a person people believe to be the Son of God.

However, Starvingcfi, you have some real anger issues. It’s funny how you went from joking and smoking to cursing and swearing so fast. Kind of reminds me of that T-shirt: babe to b!tch in 6.5 seconds. I put that kind of lowbrow T-shirt humor up there with the cartoons starting this thread. Nevertheless, there is a danger with your attitude should Jesus be the one He said He was.

When you die and 'wake up,' if you find yourself in a group of people looking up to God and you're on His left - you will have earned your place there numbered among the goats - don't say some people didn't try to warn you. Until then, live your life as you like; it is yours for the time being. If you ever have some questions though, you can always PM me.

Ciao

Precisely.

To make anything more out of it is a waste of time, regardless of one's beliefs. Again, if you don't like it, move on. Let those who have a different (not better or worse, just different) sense of humor be.

Who Wants Jack Daniels?

Holy MACKEREL!

Lighten up!! Ya think Jesus didn't have a sense of humor? Ya think Jesus wasn't irreverent?? I can think of many places in the bible where he was. The Sanhedrin sure had their fill of him. Ya think Jesus couldn't enjoy a joke, or even poke a little fun at himself or someone else? He could have even been a little bit of a practical jokester. Ya think Jesus didn't like to party? He was a human, right? He almost certainly enjoyed wine... he even brought some to a wedding. There's a real party savior! I'm sure his every waking moment wasn't full of prophecy and teaching and fire and brimstone!

The humor behind those quotes was how unlikely they are. Of course Jesus isn't there to screw you up when you're counting money. Or maybe he is... maybe to teach a little humility. Something some of our more devout brothers may be lacking.

Like I said, get off your cross, we need the wood.

good. f*ck jesus. f*ck him in the ass with a big pink rubber dildo. i'm not afraid of your invisible man.

Wow ... I'm not even sure I'd go there.

TImebuilder ... as always I admire your faith, and I think you are generally among the best examples of true Christians here. You remind me of my father, and of my son, both Christians who live their faith daily and are an example to others. I salute you, sir!

100LL ... as always, I hate your guts with a purple passion. Your abrasive right-wing whacko ranting is not washed away by your pseudo-Christian nice-guy post here. You sir ... are a complete putz, and you should off yourself at the earliest opportunity. When I take over after the civil war, and after all the lawyers and politicians have been publicly beheaded, we will sterilize your children. We, in the new US of A, simple cannot have your genetically-defective seed propogating all over the place. You ... outa the gene pool!

Actually, I posted many times that when someone posts a thread entitled with "Jesus", "The Passion," or some other title that indicates the content that others might not want to view, they can move on to another thread.

A title like wwjd, a well known question among believers, led me to believe that the content either asked about or mentionjed Jesus in a positive light. A seeker, or someone with a question.

You see, Hugh, I was deceived. So, having been decieved, how did I react? Let's review.

The highly detailed and artistic drawings suggests to me that someone who fancies themselves a comedy writer simply decided to write some third grade humor over some existing artwork.

So, rather than complain to the webmaster, bemoan the lack of aviation content (Jesus did rise into the air, but that is a stretch in this context) or engage in a personal attack on the thread starter, I made an observation about the quality of the humor. There is nothing in my post that is inconsistent with my position.

As for posters getting angry, expect it. We are all human, and miss the mark, falling short of the Glory of God.

A Christian isn't free of anger or sin. He's just forgiven. Everything else is icing on the cake.

So, this is o.k. because it makes fun of Christians? What about a something poking fun at the muslims? Wait, that would be discrimination. Choose wisely at what you laugh at, because you won't have a choice to who you will answer to.

hehe. i just re-read everything. i did sound angry. i might've been drinking a little. you know how that goes. :D

that f*ck was just annoying. just glad snakum agrees.

Clyde...is that an ancestor of yours there in your avatar, or are you just generically promoting evolution in a subliminal way?

Neither. It's just a picture of a monkey.

"Any Which Way but Loose" and/or "Every Which Way but Loose"...can't remember which one came first.
