There is no way we are any effect on your pay. Raises have occured, but we still have a ways to go. However, you seem to enjoy reporting how much our company is losing money. Increase the pay by "X" amount and that is the exact amount that the red ink will increase by. I know, its managements job to make money and not on our backs. I get that. I think you mean a long time, not good time. Too many are content with a low six figure income (package) vs at least a mid around here and I just don't understand why.

T, I'm not on there side, but I just can't believe that our investors are not getting there money around here. Otherwise, why on earth and who, would continue to pour money into this pit. It's fun and all but we have worked way to long under the guise of "were just a start up" and management just keeps pushing it.

It is time to be paid as professionals, or at least time to start thinking it.

The real question, mx, is why do we respond to anonymous a**holes vs just letting them run their ignorant mouths? Eventually they will just go away, while the adults finish the conversation and attempt to make things better. I teach my children to say excuse me, then wait until I respond. If they respond like idiots, I just ignore them.

I wonder how your "We're just starting" whine goes over with LCC, UAL and DAL pilots. All of them saw the bankruptcy court abrogate their premium wage scales and impose jetBlue's (at the time) $129 Capt. rate so they could be "competitive".

Hey, I make no bones about it. I want to see VX out of business. Perhaps that will be a lesson to the pilot population in general not to whore themselves out for crappy wages and a quick upgrade. I said good riddance to Skybus and FlyI too. Hopefully, Virgin will be consigned to the garbage heap of aviation history sooner than later.

Stand solid? That's a laugh. Everyone of you in your busboy uniforms has proven you'll do anything for a flying job, an Airbus type rating and a quick upgrade. The appropriate time to demand an industry leading contract is NOW.

Your right. I typically don't respond. Must have been bored on the commute. I agree that our pay is too low. I actually agree with his response that the "new guy" card needs to come to an end. I just notice irony in the the attack on BOTH low wages AND losing money. He could pick one or the other and have a pretty good argument. Picking both is just trolling.

Tired of this mantra fish. Was it Jlbu's fault that Delta, Ual, filed bankruptcy? How many times will Alpa allow carriers the luxury of filing bankruptcy to circumvent contracts? My question is as stupid as your conclusion that it is Jblu's fault that Ual or Dal filed bankruptcy and received those rates "all because of Jblu"!! Maybe, had Jblu's rates not been there, to stop the free fall, those carriers would have asked for lower rates. And, with Alpa's weak azz history in tough times, the carriers probably would have won. What matters now is that we stand together, which you have no interest in. For some reason you feel a sense of entitlement, not sure why, but its the american way now. Right? You owe me because I say you do.

How about this Fub. When your ready to nationalize our profession, through a national seniority list, I will be happy to quit my job tomorrow. But you won't, so I don't have to worry, because you don't want to work for higher wages. No, you want somebody to hand it to you, but until your ready to pay equally for it, you can pucker up and kiss my white american butt (nobody is just american anymore ).

You also know as well as I that if Virgin dies tomorrow, another one will just replace it. Then you'll be fighting their lower wages. Your desire is completely unrealistic and futile. How about you use some of those leadership skills (you acquired free from the military) and put them to use and make a difference.

Hyflyn, I agree with what you say in part. Yes, we are no longer a start up. Yes, we have way too many kool aid drinkers. We are working on the changes, but it also takes people that are willing to stand up and stick it out there to make themselves heard. Not a lot of guys here willing to do that. I'm more than happy to do it, and have done it on numerous occasions, but if there isn't more than a few voices, where do you think that is going to get us???? GET INVOLVED!!!

I am involved, have talked to many who are interested in a union and realize we need one. I thought there was a movement already starting but seems to have stalled. Time to move.

You are a coward and clearly lack the ability for rational thought. Most of all you are an embarrassment to this profession and to anyone who served in the military (if in fact you ever really did), by constantly rambling on about one stupid, minor little connection between JetBlue and some other airlines bankruptcies and expounding that to unreasonable proportions by lambasting every single start-up.

So tell me oh great wise one - where do you draw the line on which airlines get the free pass and which ones do not? FlyI was an ALPA carrier for many years, why do they get thrown under the bus? What about America West? They were a post-deregulation start-up. Or do they get a free pass because they were merged into that sinking ship called USAirways? Does USAirways get thrown under the bus now because they left ALPA and their refusal to resolve their differences has resulted in a large pilot group working under one of the worst contracts in recent history? They are doing a pretty good job at dragging the bar down. Does United, American and Alaska get a free pass because they got started during the era of regulation, meaning they had government protection from a free market? If so that sounds a lot like socialism, and we all know a proud military veteran cannot be out there promoting the virtues of socialism. Why is it okay for ALPA to outsource all of the good jobs to poverty level bottom feeders like Mesa?

See, there are a bunch of very legitimate questions that you do not have the 'stones' to answer, because you have been a coward and run away every time they have been asked. If you are indeed a proud military veteran, have the 'stones' to be a man and answer those questions. If not, stop insulting the real veterans out there by claiming to be one, because clearly you lack intelligence and courage.

He, and others, predicted VX would NEVER turn a quarterly profit. VX did in Q3 2010. Hence another failed prediction.

Yes, because in Fishfreighter/Fubijaakr land, management wants to pay higher wages. It is only because management sees someone else trying to get lower pay that they get the idea to do it themselves
