Good business allows the company to restore pay to the pre-reduction levels. Pay below shows F/O and Capt pay for the average USA Jet DA-20 pilots versus the competition and hours flown.

Okay master of confusion. Does this mean that our pay WILL be restored if business is good and we are able to fly over our reduced quarantee hours .

Or our origional pay is given back as of today?

Effective Sunday 8-7 old guarentee and days off will be restored, it that confusing?

Well is this long term or is this a temporary pay restoration?...I am hopefully assuming at least till next May..or possibly longer. Any way Momma will be happy.

How far afield do your Falcons fly? Ad-hoc obviously implies on-demand and probably anywhere, but do they routinely fly the four-corners of the US or do they fly to certain destinations more than others (e.g., to the locations with major auto plants)? Any nice tropical locations? Just curious.

90% of our flying is in the auto corridor, which is 500 miles either side of a line from MMMX to CYYZ

Great to hear it guys!

The flying sure has picked up this month / last month!

Chrysler has been shipping like crazy...their truck sales are up almost 30%!!!

I;m so happy for you guys, my x is there, please feel free to pm me! And I will introduce myself! I wish you pilots the best! It is a small world, my x is on the dc9 Captain.

Keeping my fingers crossed! Heck I know you guys do a lot of friegt to lorado and other places. Wishing you the best! You just need lots of contracts!

(support american made cars!) PLEASE!

mY BEST

Miss Kitty Kat,

How many times have I told you, I'm not at USAJet anymore! Its Kalitta now.

Hi!

USAJet mostly flies to the 48 states, Mexico and Eastern Canada. Sometimes we fly further afield, usually Central America, the Islands, or Western Canada.

My last trip was MFE-MMSP-LRD-LIT-ORF-YIP.

Have a great day!

Cliff
YIP

PS-They had my fuel stop originally scheduled for TCL, but then they figured out I was a Plainsman, so they knew I didn't want to set foot there. War Eagle!

Yeah, things are picking up...we just got done with an Active Aero trip....

That was for GM

DAY-CYHM-MEM-MMIO-LRD....

Woot ;)

Qol

Ah yes, the good life at USAJet.

So, are these wages going to be here for a while, or is the payscale going to continually act like the stock market; up today, down tomorrow.

According to Randy you can really rake in some serious dough at the expense of flying 100 hours per month.

Let's all do something that is the equivalent of a good 'ol fashioned KYIP group hug. For all of those who drive to YIP to go fly, let's all embrace and let out a collective "this place sux!!"

I miss Zantop!! Well, not really. They were trash too, just a little ahead of their time.

Lets assess pay now that it has been "restored" (by the way Uncle Ray's memo almost brought a tear to my eye.) Basically USAJ DA20 pilots falls back in line to be the second worst paid behind Ameristar for an average month, and well behind pay at top dog Cherry Air. For the DC9, it is the worst pay of any 9 operators out there period. Go 7 miles down the street and the USAJ Capts are on the FO pay scale. Or you can sell all your days down the toilet and make a respectable wage, but you can’t have both. The average 4th yr Airtran FO has 14days off a month and banks 70K (but there are very few 4th yr Airtran FO’s b/c their Capts on average making 107K with a min guarantee of 94K.) The DC-9 is a mainline narrow body a/c not an RJ.

Yet USAJ management is not done tinkering. Just how can guarantee be lowered? They want a pay scale like Cherry but don't have a business plan like Cherry (not volume.) Ah yes the answer! Pay per day! Folks this should read like a viagra commercial where all the benefits are read slowly and with excitement, yet it ends with a speed talking shallow voice and all you can hear is “may result in blindness.”

Me thinks *disclaimer, this "me thinks" excerpt does not represent the collective pilot group or management of USAJ as a whole* that pay per day will bring the out of touch upper managements crystal ball (aka projection) more closely into the pilots lives. Bids come out for a busy month, every line is made up of lines with only 8 days off! PAY DAY! Then for the slow month it comes out with 14 days off! Uh oh, can't pay my alimony and my mortgage, sorry kids! I think this will take stability out of the QOL, and then lean the ranks (which a pay cut was just taken to keep everyone and let the nature of attrition take its course.)

Like a previous poster said, its like a pay scale tied to the stock market... Bad idea! Its time to get a Union on the property so you can have a voice in representing yourself as the other people discuss your pay and work rules. It is time to have a voice at USAJ! Or stick with the current way of life: A memo comes out or a meeting is called to announce the new management idea that directly affect the pilots. Then there are sour grapes, a few go to the CP's office, others to Randy, and then there is a pilot meeting where there is more complaining. Talk is cheap, and that is all the USAJ pilots have. Get representation NOW!

Well lets get some representation on property so we can at least hold our current pay through next summer. Everything will be up for negotition. But most importantly Brian, Marty, Green Briar, Berkshire, and a few others will be stuck with a business no one will touch and some management will be forced to leave. Heck two union votes in less than 24 months doesn't say much. Just think we could change everything and make it difficult for them, it already sucks for us.

Good now aka Goaround, USA JET PILOT, ABUSED PILOT who is Anwar will stop complain on a flightinfo forum about how bad he has it. IF you google your name it means Devoted to God Maybe you should channel all the pent up anger you have do something more important and serve higher calling with it. Option #2 you can continue to bitch on Flight Info, next time when they(AAC/USAJET) decided to layoff 30 people you will be Fo be a since you only upgraded to Captain DA-20 in 2004.So it only lasted 3 months and you complained allot at least you still have job because there about 50 other non pilot people that don't have a job @AAC/Usajet.

Most of you USA Jet pilots that are on this forum don't know how to fly any way. Stop crying about how bad you have it or lets get a union here. Its funny to hear all of this. Get the H*LL out of here if its so bad. We don't need your kind!!!!

thanks porky, we all feel better now

Who would call themselves Porky ? Pretty sad man.

Hey Yip.... Havin a good summer ? Get that mustang out and fly that pretty Cessna.

I miss ol Taco Palenque...

I guess that since the USA JET pilots got their pay restored you all will quit crying about how bad it is to work here? I don't think so! Before the pay cuts you just cried about something else instead. Lets get a few things straight.

1) You all decided on your own to get into aviation.
2) You all said yes to accept a job at USA JET.
3) You all get paid weather you fly or not.

These facts are true are they not? You pilots that are complaining about the same things that others do at different companies.

ABUSED PILOT- You state that you have 7000+ hrs. Why are you still flying here? Could it be that no one else wants you or that maybe your just not good enough to go anywhere else? I think so!

IRAQIPILOT- You started off as a mechanic at USA JET, and by the way I heard you weren't very good at that either. Why are you still here if you have 6000+ hrs. Mommy stopped paying your bills?

You all should be happy that you at least have a job, even if you think its crappy, you still have a job. So again I say if you don't like it here then leave. USA JET can't afford to keep buying all that kleenex you are using.

jetops wild guesses

jetops- Iam not denying that abused pilot is me. Your other guesses are wrong. so keep guessing, and porky let me make it official i am a loser and cannot go anywhere eles. So now you know.

DC-9 Pay

DC-9 pay, USA Jet lowest in the industry, who else is in the on-demand business flying DC-9's? C&M?, A-Liner?, Ameristar? Kalitta? If someone has some figures to back up that statment I would be glad to post the average DC-9 pilot pay. It is no secret we have pilots in the DC-9 taking home 6 figures.

Jetops And Porky

I ask that if the two of you have any thing personal to say to me either leave me your number in your mailbox or call me on my cellphone. The is no room or reason to personally attack me or bassam . I urge you to leave race, religion , nationality etc out of it. There is no reason to drag bassam's mother into it. Leave personal insults out of it and let's talk like grownups. I will be more than happy to explain my position in a civilized manner. There is nothing wrong with people expressing their disagreement with an issue or event. You boys call me anytime and we'll talk. I'll even buy you coffee. Last but not least stop accusing me of someone that i am not.

Hey porky

Only a imoral person would bring a persons personal life for every one to view. Maybe you need to grow up and look inside your self why your like this. It might be a mental problem. Will all pray for you.

Pray for him? I say good ol fashioned pillow party (code red)! Count me in.

P.S. we'll pray for him after the pillow party.

Anybody care to decipher this?

Easy does it now!!!

Who said anything about this. I didn't, you did. All I was trying to say is that this constant crying I hear around this place is getting old. This talk about a union, also getting old. You guys are the ones that started all the etc... when you brought up the fact that the owners play GOD. So what, they have lots of money, and they have personal jets. Does this mean you hate Bill Gates, he has money, so lets hate him to.

I have to speak up when cry baby's threaten my job just because the might have a beef with management. I myself have issues with management but I keep it to myself. I don't go online and make it known to everyone else. Your all labeled now, good job!! I hope this is something that crossed your minds when you started posting.

This is a company that is trying to do the best it can to stay running. You may not agree with some of the stuff they do but guess what, they own the company, not you.

OK, maybe the Mommy thing was a bit much and I'm sorry, but I'm not the one who posted "Prayer meeting at USA JET". Come on, that was a bit much also!!

Dc-9

NWA, AIR Tran, Midwest, ABX

Each of these airlines has their payscales specifically for operating the DC-9 (I didn't even look for MD-80.) USAJ operates a DC-9 commercially just like the rest of these operators and hands down is the worst paid!

It doesn't matter what type of opeartion is happening behind the cockpit door. You could plunk a USAJ crew into the office at any one of these companies and they would safely be able to operate that plane. Wouldn't they?

Hey Brent how's Kalitta? (and learn how to use some semblance of proper grammar)

If I shave my head bald can I come turn a wrench with you?

So we operate commercially like them. Lets take a look at the fleet size you are compairing us to:

NWA-- 145 DC-9's
Airtran-- 95 B717's
ABX -- 71 DC-9's
Midwest-- 12 MD-80's

USA JET -- 10 DC-9's

Looks to me like we are the lowest in aircraft numbers. Which means, less planes fly, less money coming in. Also the have scheduled flights. We fly when the phone rings. This is a very big differance. Sure, you could plunk a USAJ crew behind the yoke of one of these carriers and they would be able to fly, I don't think that is the issue. The real issue is money coming in the door. These companies can't be compaired to USAJ, they are in a different class. You are in a different world my friend, wake up and accept it or continue to compair apples to oranges.

Next!!
