I meant temp by the 18 month part....
and what if positions don't become avail out
West for years?
(prob not likely but ya never know.. then it's gee thx dougie)

Yeah, if u hope to return to the west it could be a bad deal because it may be a while. If you were a new hire put out west who wanted to be east then It is a great deal since you would now be an east employee. Just depends on where you want to be.

How will those open positions be filled? By the remaining furloughed pilots?

By returning EVLOA, Mil Leave, Med Leave, etc pilots. Rumor already is another bid to follow shortly after this one if not all of the Group 2 positions are filled by returning Leaves.

Dugan -- enjoy training again. This time try to stay awake for more than an hour a day.... :D

Looks to me like the seat lock wasn't waived for most guys. Everyone I know bid for those slots and didn't get it.

Well those returning from some kind of leave are all senior to us pukes.

Everyone you know must not have been senior enough to hold group 2. The four most senior recalled pilots were awarded group 2 and now hold the bottom positions in DC and CLT. That's as junior as group 2 went. It has nothing to do with waiving the seat lock and everything to do with seniority.

But with some group 2 seats still vacant, wouldn't 190 guys have been awarded them, creating vacancies on the 190, if there were no seat lock?
