Ya really, The America West management team was so good to the AWA pilots (look at their current ALPA negotiated contract) I hope APA really understands who is really trying to buy them.

I don't think you really understand how f'ed up the AMR management really is.

I'll give anyone here control of AA in 2000 and let them run the airline for 12 years. Bet none of us would screw it up as bad as these a$$ clowns have.

'How do you build the sixth largest airline in the world? Start with the largest and let AMR run it.'

Doug Parker could have taken on AA in 2000 and run it as a hobby and done better, IMO.

It is almost criminal how poorly AMR has been managed for the past 10 years. I don't blame APA for going with door number 2. I'm not sure the current US mgmt could do any worse than AMR. Monopolistic pricing power will be good for all of us and a rising tide lifts all boats. Let's hope the US easties go into this with an open mind.
