wow....just wow....hell of a job guys!

Updated at 3:52 p.m. ET: The AP, quoting FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown, identifies the plane as United Airways flight 1549 en route from LaGuardia Airport to Charlotte, N.C.

I got you beat- Fox news reporter on the phone asking how deep the water got to some of the pax- One pax said 3-4 feet (in the plane of course). The reporter then said "WELL THANK GOD YOU LANDED IN A SHALLOW PART OF THE RIVER"

wow....

If I can recall is:
Climb heading 044 till 600ft then right turn heading 055 up 5K follow by your trans.

CNN: Whats your name Jeff I'm from Norwalf CT, spells last name, I don't want to be a super hero. Keeps talking about how he did such a good job. I need to go, sir sir sir, I don't want attention, sir sir sir you want to be on our show tonight yeah here's my number.

Someone will be on TV tonight saying birds should be banished.

Great job to the entire flight crew (FAs included).

Guys and gals, wear your uniform proudly. We might get a little bit of respect after this.

Does the Capt. qualify for a seaplane rating now?

Awsome job to all involved--including all the boat drivers in NY harbor who didn't hesitate to wade in.

TC

Excellent job everyone involved...crew, responders, etc...
Just wondering if they would have kept the crew with the ferries for input when towing the plane...as to where stuff is, etc...Now that everyone is safe I am wondering if they check the cargo for animals, etc?

Fox news says that cold water is soft?

And they said the pax could thank the cold water for their lives...I was like huh we aren't talking about culligan here!

Wow, looks like the entire crew executed the ditching flawlessly! *****Kudos to them! *****Heroes, they are.

Can't beat a well-trained crew- MGMT: take note!!

No no cold water is hard! The Fox reported said when he bare-foot water ski'd he wanted cold water because it was harder. There for, thank goodness the Hudson was cold.

Sheesh.

Everyone survived according to reports in NY. Awesome piloting skills. All the more reason proving we are WAYYYYYY OVERPAID
