Updated at 3:52 p.m. ET: The AP, quoting FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown, identifies the plane as United Airways flight 1549 en route from LaGuardia Airport to Charlotte, N.C.

I got you beat- Fox news reporter on the phone asking how deep the water got to some of the pax- One pax said 3-4 feet (in the plane of course). The reporter then said "WELL THANK GOD YOU LANDED IN A SHALLOW PART OF THE RIVER"

wow....

If I can recall is:
Climb heading 044 till 600ft then right turn heading 055 up 5K follow by your trans.

CNN: Whats your name Jeff I'm from Norwalf CT, spells last name, I don't want to be a super hero. Keeps talking about how he did such a good job. I need to go, sir sir sir, I don't want attention, sir sir sir you want to be on our show tonight yeah here's my number.

Someone will be on TV tonight saying birds should be banished.

Great job to the entire flight crew (FAs included).

Guys and gals, wear your uniform proudly. We might get a little bit of respect after this.

Does the Capt. qualify for a seaplane rating now?

Awsome job to all involved--including all the boat drivers in NY harbor who didn't hesitate to wade in.
