Kudos also to RICK LEVANTHAL on FOX NEWS for setting everybody straight that there are TWO pilots not one...and three Flight Attendants who train for exactly this occasion and how well they ALL did!
At least one person in the media has a BRAIN.

according to fox news there was only 1 pilot, planes can't fly on 1 engine, and old guys are the best pilots. Got to love the media.

Its unbelievable that everyone got out! Great job flight crew, emergency responders, ferry boat captains, etc etc etc.

Also on a side note, watching the news they mentioned that the flight crew did a great job handling this emergency and that its terrible in the airline industry that the pilots, fa, and others in this industry are getting nickled and dimed when they are so important to airline safety! Do you think!!!!!

Our thoughts are with you!

Randy Rhoades said something similar on her radio show - said the pilot was probably making $42000 a year. Yeah, she got the number wrong, but the concept right.

BTW - am I the only one that hasn't heard any of the passengers say anything about more than loud bang heard inside the plane? My spider sense is tingling...

Anyway, Mr. Captain and Mr. First Officer, the beer and cigars are on me. (Mr. Airbus Engineer, the wine's on me.)

I think they rigged the 320 to a couple of tugboats and are dragging it back to LGA.

they are tying it off to battery park city. opposite direction of lga. they wouldn't do a very good job fighting the current back to lga nor fitting the airbus through the harlem river.

Absolutely amazing airmanship. You guys rock.

I am just astounded at the condition of the aircraft post ditching. Nothing other than really bringing your "A" game could result in an outcome like this.

As others have said, this buds for you!

I love media.... first, pilots are just overpaid, glorified button pushers who don't do anything these days therefore do not deserve these executive-level pay checks they're so accustomed to.

Now they're heroes....

Outstanding job all the way around, no doubt about it.
