VERY NICE JOB CREW!

the px should be required to take the crew out for dinner and drinks.

Are you kidding?! The pax are lawyering up and getting ready to sue US Airways, the pilots, the pilots' estates, and the flock of geese that might have been responsible for this accident. That's how this sue-happy nation works. Look at the Continental accident. Even though all pax were alive, many have sued.

Better to have not hit the birds, or the news. They should have delayed the takeoff.

Pretty stupid post. You are an idiot

I guess you have never flown out of LGA? Birds are everywhere. Let's just be happy that nobody got hurt. Kudos to the Captain. Excellent work by the crew, front and back.

they are tying it off to battery park city. opposite direction of lga. they wouldn't do a very good job fighting the current back to lga nor fitting the airbus through the harlem river.

Maybe some reserve guys could sail it back to France for repairs?

Sorry for the dumb comment Landlover I really do appreciate the first hand info from your Uncle.

Are this idiots aware that there are 2 pilots on the effing plane???? They all keep saying "the pilot". Jackasses....

6:05pm, and everyone has issued some sort of press release regarding this accident... except ALPA.

I understand the US Airways guys gave ALPA the finger and formed their own in house union, but in spirit of air safety and investigations, the least ALPA could have done is issued a press release that would express prayers and thoughts with crew and pax involved in this crash. Guess they have to be a due-collecting airline to get that sort of treatment.

This is what ALPA did for Continental: http://www.alpa.org/DesktopModules/...iew.aspx?itemid=17382&ModuleId=12567&Tabid=73

All they had to do was something very similar for US Airways, just in spirit of air safety and investigation. They don't have to help or investigate, but just a little sympathy of prayers with flight crew and passengesr would have sufficed.

Go ALPA!
