One I know of off-hand. 2 out of 4 engines ....Alaska E-3 AWACS, No survivors. Canadian Geese. 1995

http://www.geocities.com/pentagon/5464/

Wolf asked why they just don't put screens on the front of the engines...OMFG.

I'm no engineer but what would a screen look like that could completely stop a 20 pound bird going 200mph. Could any air actually go thru it?

The level of ignorance is staggering. Walking talking morons with absolutely no feel at all for the physical world in which they dwell.

BTW...nice job!

Doesn't US Air charge extra for water?

I guess normally there is a charge for water, but on this flight, the water was Free, not 'fresh, clean' water, but free.

KUDOs to the Pilots and F/As. EXCELLENT JOB.

Nice landing Captain, a little bumpy, but NICE.

Excellent job by pilots and F/As!

CNN's Chris Matthews just twice referred to the birds attacking the airplane!

I recorded it on my DVR and will have to figure out how to transfer it to youtube.
