The company is "reinstating pay raises for 40,000 after freezing management wages in 2009". They posted record profits for 2009 by squeezing more blood from every pebble. Yet they are hammering the pilot group. What about the management pilots? Unfreakinbelievable.

That's rich coming from a SWA pilot. Your pilot group pretty much led the Age 65 campaign... A lot of your senior pilots were extremely vocal advocates (much louder than other groups that I recall).

Its funny. The momentum is on mngmt's side. One COMPLETE S.O.S. should realign this career and allow a "balance" to foster. Of course, someone will pay for calling the SOS but that is the sacrifice for this Battle.

I am all for capitalism and business opportunities. I want our managers to be creative and PROFITABLE but I WANT then to STOP SCREWING their employees or USING them as bargaining chips.

Bad news for the UPS pilots out there - sorry to hear about it.

One person you can also thank is Barry Hussein Obama (aka "the Socialist") and his proposed tax on interantional/multinational profits. That sure won't help companies with significant international exposure like UPS and Fedex. That will definitely impact the bottom line. Thanks to everyone on these boards who voted him into office... You are also partly responsible for the pace of the super-slow economic turnaround that is killing jobs. Sorry to get political but it's the truth. And no, Palin would also be a terrible President. It's very, very simple: we need a fiscal conservative at the helm.
